The best Restream alternative depends on how you produce your YouTube stream. For a browser-based studio with guests, evaluate StreamYard. For integrated streaming tools and cloud multistreaming, compare Streamlabs—but its full Multistream feature is paid, while its free Dual Output is limited to one horizontal and one vertical output. If you mainly need a YouTube channel to stay live with uploaded videos around the clock, StreamNeo is a different kind of option: it loops your videos from the cloud, without a computer running at home.
There is no universal winner among these services. Choose by destination count, production workflow, guest and recording needs, and whether you want a relay or software running on your own computer.
Which Restream alternative fits your workflow?
| Option | Consider it if you want | Check before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | A YouTube channel kept live from uploaded videos, looped in the cloud. It is #1 for this specific always-on workflow: any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, with the first day free. | It plays uploaded videos and streams to YouTube only; it is not a general multistream relay or a live-camera studio. |
| StreamYard | A browser studio for YouTube multistreaming and a production workflow that may include guests. | Verify current destination caps, plan pricing, branding, recording limits, and guest features. StreamYard’s recommendation of its own product is promotional. |
| Streamlabs | Integrated streaming tools and cloud multistreaming, including workflows using its tools, OBS Plugin, or RTMP software. | Full Multistream is an Ultra feature; free Dual Output is limited to one horizontal and one vertical output. Verify supported destinations and current plan terms. |
| OBS Studio | A desktop-encoder route if you are comfortable configuring and maintaining local streaming software. | Confirm current official documentation for the exact output, plugin, and destination setup you need; detailed capabilities are not established here. |
| Restream | A baseline to compare if you value its relay, browser studio, and channel integrations. | Its pricing page lists simultaneous destination counts of 2, 3, 5, and 8 across plans; its free plan allows choosing two from 30+ social channels. Check the current plan comparison before switching. |
Feature and plan statements above come from the vendors’ own pages, not independent reliability testing. Compare the setup you actually intend to use rather than treating marketing comparisons as neutral evaluations.
StreamYard: a browser studio alternative
StreamYard is the clearest fit in this group when you want to produce a show in a browser rather than configure a desktop encoder. Its own article promotes multistreaming to YouTube through its browser studio. That makes it worth evaluating for interviews, guest-led programs, and other productions where the studio itself matters.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Before paying, check the plan’s current number of destinations, whether branding can be removed, recording allowances, guest workflow, and price. Restream also publishes a comparison with StreamYard covering items such as destinations, chat, recordings, pre-recorded video, guests, and graphics; because that comparison is written by Restream, treat its judgments as a vendor’s perspective rather than an independent test.
Streamlabs: cloud multistream with a free-output limitation
Streamlabs describes cloud distribution and use through its own tools, OBS Plugin, or other software over RTMP. Its free Dual Output use case is specifically one horizontal and one vertical output at the same time. Full Streamlabs Multistream is an Ultra feature, so do not assume that the free vertical-plus-horizontal option is equivalent to sending a stream to multiple separate platforms.

OBS Studio: a desktop route, not a like-for-like relay comparison
OBS is a possible alternative if your priority is a desktop encoder workflow and you are willing to configure it. A desktop setup differs from a cloud relay: it relies on the computer and its network connection while streaming. The available official-page information does not establish specific current multistream features or settings, so verify the relevant OBS documentation before choosing it for multiple destinations rather than assuming it replaces a hosted relay directly.

Compare the workflow, not just the brand
- Destinations: Count the platforms you need simultaneously, and confirm that the exact services and account types are supported on the plan you would buy.
- Production: Choose a browser studio if guests and in-studio production tools are central. Choose an encoder-oriented workflow if you already produce elsewhere and want to send its output onward.
- Relay or local output: A relay can distribute a single stream onward; a desktop workflow puts more responsibility on your computer and connection. Confirm which model the product and plan actually provide.
- Recording and pre-recorded video: Check whether the specific plan handles the recordings or uploaded-video workflow you need; feature presence and limits can differ.
- Total cost: Compare the plan required for your destination count and production features—not only an entry-level price. Restream’s listed destination counts and free-tier channel allowance are plan details that can change.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is not a live, guest-led show but a YouTube channel that stays live with uploaded videos, StreamNeo takes a simpler route: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay powered on at home. Videos stream as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; if YouTube drops the stream, StreamNeo automatically recovers it.
The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for uploaded video playback to YouTube, not camera streaming or multistreaming to other platforms. See StreamNeo or start the free first day.
