There is no independently verified universal winner among Indian VPS providers for a 24/7 YouTube lofi radio stream. Choose by the stream’s actual bitrate and monthly outbound-traffic allowance, then verify CPU resources, network route, restart behavior, support, renewal terms and SLA exclusions. For creators who would rather not operate a server, StreamNeo is the first alternative to consider: it loops uploaded video from the cloud to YouTube, with any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot and a free first day.

Shortlist: Indian VPS and streaming-hosting options

The figures below are provider-published specifications and claims accessed on October 3, 2026, not independent tests. The plans are not directly comparable: transfer allowances, renewal prices, operating systems, CPU guarantees, support, taxes and SLA terms may differ.

Provider or offer Published details What to verify
StreamNeo Cloud service that loops uploaded video to YouTube; one always-on stream per slot, playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and storage of 10 GB per slot pooled across active slots. Uploaded quality is preserved up to 4K 60fps. It is a managed YouTube service for uploaded videos, not a general-purpose VPS or a camera-streaming service. One flat price per slot applies at every supported quality; the first day is free with no card.
KryoHost India VPS Vendor lists Mumbai, KVM, dedicated vCPU/RAM/NVMe and an uptime SLA of 99.99% with credits. India VPS starts at $14.99/month; the first tier lists 1 GB RAM and 1 CPU core. Backups and snapshots are not included. Confirm outbound traffic, CPU allocation, SLA exclusions and regional availability for the exact plan. Do not assume backup protection.
Endercloud India VPS Vendor lists Mumbai plans including 8 GB RAM, 3 vCores, 50 GB NVMe and 2 TB at 1 Gbps for ₹999/month; another lists 16 GB, 4 vCores, 100 GB and 3 TB for ₹1,999/month. A 1 Gbps port is not an unlimited monthly transfer allowance. Check renewal prices, overages and acceptable-use terms.
Infinitive Cloud Advertises Mumbai AMD EPYC infrastructure. Starter: ₹499/month for 2 GB RAM, 1 vCPU, 40 GB NVMe and 1 TB bandwidth. Business: ₹999/month for 4 GB RAM, 2 vCores, 80 GB NVMe and 2 TB. The provider also advertises 24/7 support and 99.99% uptime. These are sales-page claims and plan limits, not a stream benchmark or independently verified uptime record.
NivoHost streaming RDP A dedicated 24/7 YouTube-streaming offer. RDP 1 lists one stream handle, 360p at 10 fps, 124 kbps audio, 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD and 20 TB bandwidth. The page claims 99% uptime. The listing does not establish an India hosting location or independent performance. Compare the Windows/RDP requirement, support, video settings and terms with a general VPS.

For the VPS providers, the published uptime figures are not equivalent guarantees: KryoHost describes an SLA with credits, Infinitive Cloud advertises uptime, and NivoHost claims uptime. None establishes how reliably a particular continuous broadcast will reach YouTube. No controlled workload test, route measurement or independent uptime audit is available here.

Estimate the bandwidth before choosing a plan

A continuous stream consumes outbound transfer around the clock. Port speed describes a possible connection rate; it does not tell you how much monthly traffic is included. Calculate usage from the total video-plus-audio bitrate and compare it with the provider’s outbound-traffic accounting.

Use the actual bitrate, not a plan’s port speed

YouTube’s streaming tips say: “The total bitrate you’re streaming cannot exceed the amount of upload bandwidth available. Leave a bit of room (20% recommended).” That headroom is network capacity advice, not additional monthly data allowance. If you send a backup stream as well as a primary one, account for the bandwidth needed by both.

At a constant 1 Mbps, 30 days of continuous transmission uses about 324 GB in decimal units, before protocol overhead. This is a calculation: 1,000,000 bits per second Ă— 2,592,000 seconds Ă· 8 Ă· 1,000,000,000. Multiply by your total selected bitrate in Mbps, then allow for audio, protocol overhead and any backup stream. Ask the host whether it counts outbound transfer, how overages are handled, and whether traffic exhaustion leads to charges, throttling or suspension.

Check that the plan’s allowance covers the month

As a rough illustration, a 2 TB monthly allowance at decimal units corresponds to about 6.2 Mbps sustained for 30 days before protocol overhead; 1 TB corresponds to about 3.1 Mbps. These derived values are not provider guarantees. Confirm the provider’s units and traffic policy, and leave margin rather than planning to exhaust the allowance.

Choose YouTube settings for the lofi stream

YouTube’s official encoder guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS, H.264/H.265/AV1, up to 60 fps, constant bitrate (CBR), and a recommended two-second keyframe interval (no more than four seconds). It recommends RTMPS for encrypted ingestion. These are platform settings, not a prescription for VPS size.

Pick a resolution and bitrate that suit the content

A mostly static lofi image may not benefit viewers from the highest resolution or frame rate. Select a setting that suits the artwork and any motion, then test the real feed and check YouTube’s stream health. YouTube’s H.264 recommended video bitrates vary by resolution and frame rate; examples in its guidance include 360p30 at 0.4 Mbps, 480p30 at 4 Mbps, 720p30 at 3 Mbps and 1080p30 at 14 Mbps. These are separate rows of YouTube’s table, not a progression to interpolate. Consult the current table for the exact codec, resolution and frame rate you choose.

Set audio and keyframes deliberately

For stereo audio, YouTube lists AAC or MP3 at 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps. Include audio in your bandwidth estimate even when the visual is static. YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe interval and says not to exceed four seconds. Test with audio and movement similar to what you intend to broadcast; YouTube says, “Make sure to test before you start your live stream. Tests should include audio and movement in the video similar to what you’ll be doing in the stream.”

How to evaluate a VPS for continuous streaming

  1. Decide the output. Choose resolution, frame rate, codec and whether the visual is static or animated. Use YouTube’s current recommended bitrate table for that specific combination.
  2. Calculate monthly egress. Use the total video-plus-audio bitrate for continuous 24-hour operation. Add protocol overhead and a backup stream if you plan to run one.
  3. Match the allowance and terms. Compare calculated usage with included outbound transfer. Get written answers on overage charges, throttling, suspension and fair-use limits.
  4. Confirm software and resources. Check CPU, RAM, operating-system availability and encoder requirements for your intended setup. Generic plan specifications do not prove compatibility or performance for OBS or FFmpeg; neither workload has been tested here.
  5. Test the location and route. Mumbai hosting may matter if you want an India-based server, but it does not prove a better route to YouTube’s ingest servers. Use a trial instance and watch dropped frames, reconnect behavior and YouTube stream health over a meaningful period.
  6. Ask about recovery and interruptions. Confirm what happens during host maintenance, reboot, resource contention and traffic exhaustion. Ask whether restart and reconnect are automatic, what support covers, and whether an SLA provides service restoration or credits only.
  7. Protect the stream key. YouTube says, “Stream keys are like your YouTube stream’s password and address.” Store it securely, restrict account access and rotate it if compromised.
  8. Confirm content rights. Ensure you have appropriate rights for every music track and visual. The hosting plan does not grant those rights.

What the listed prices and uptime claims do—and do not—show

The vendor prices and plan limits above are dated sales-page snapshots, not a normalized price comparison. Before buying, confirm the checkout total, billing duration, renewal price, taxes, included transfer and any conditions attached to introductory pricing. An uptime percentage is also not a measured record of your stream: the provider may define exclusions and remedies differently, while YouTube ingestion and your encoder add separate possible failure points.

No independent comparative statistic establishes which Indian VPS has the best uptime for 24/7 YouTube music streams. Treat the published details as a shortlist for verification rather than proof of a winner.

Troubleshooting a VPS-hosted YouTube stream

  • Stream health reports dropped frames: Check the VPS’s outbound capacity and route, reduce the encoder bitrate if needed, and retain YouTube’s recommended 20% upload headroom. Check whether a backup stream is also consuming bandwidth.
  • The stream stops after running for a while: Check the provider’s traffic meter and written overage or suspension policy. Ask whether a host reboot, maintenance event or resource limit caused the interruption, and verify restart/reconnect behavior.
  • YouTube reports an unstable or unsupported feed: Recheck the selected codec, CBR mode, keyframe interval and bitrate against YouTube’s current guidance. Test the actual audio and movement rather than relying on a static preview.
  • The plan seems fast but runs out of data: Port speed and monthly transfer are different limits. Recalculate from total bitrate over 30 days and confirm whether the host measures decimal or binary units and counts all outbound traffic.
  • The VPS has insufficient resources: Check the specific encoder and operating-system requirements and observe CPU and memory use during a representative test. Do not infer OBS or FFmpeg capacity from RAM or vCPU figures alone.
  • The stream key may be exposed: Treat it as a password-like credential. Rotate it in YouTube’s live settings and secure the account before restarting the encoder.
  • A track or image triggers a rights claim: Check the licenses and permissions for the specific music and visual; a VPS provider cannot establish that a work is cleared for a public broadcast.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your goal is an always-on YouTube lofi stream rather than managing a server, StreamNeo takes three steps: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a live camera feed, and streams to YouTube only.

  • Nothing at home has to stay on: the stream runs from the cloud, so your computer and home connection can be off.
  • Uploaded quality streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot with no quality tiers or re-encoding.
  • It attempts automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream.
  • The first day is free with no card, once per account.
  • Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Other options are Daily $0.99 per day · Weekly $2.99 per week · 6 months $49.99 for 6 months · Yearly $89.99 a year.
  • Each slot includes 10 GB storage, pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery and StreamNeo team support. The product is the same on every plan; only the billing length changes. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide.
