How Rotten Tomatoes ranks the films
The Tomatometer is the percentage of approved critics whose reviews are positive. It is not an average grade out of 100, and it does not reflect audience sentiment. A movie can have separate critics’ and audience scores: Rotten Tomatoes’ current Deadpool page, for example, shows an 85% Tomatometer and a 90% Popcornmeter.
The ranking below preserves the order and percentages shown in Rotten Tomatoes’ guide, updated September 11, 2024. The percentages are critic-positive shares; they can change as reviews are added. Rounded scores do not always descend from one position to the next, so the list retains the guide’s displayed order rather than re-sorting ties or apparent discrepancies.

What stands out in the ranking
The top spot goes to a drama, not a superhero comedy
Mississippi Grind, a 2015 drama, leads the guide at 91%. Adventureland and Buried follow at 89% and 87%, respectively. The list’s highest-ranked film is therefore not one of Reynolds’ best-known superhero roles.
Deadpool is fourth, with critics and audiences measured separately
The 2016 film ranks fourth in the guide at 85%. At the time Rotten Tomatoes’ current page was checked in 2026, it showed that Tomatometer score from 345 critic reviews and a 90% Popcornmeter from more than 100,000 audience ratings. Those counts and scores are volatile; the two percentages describe different groups and should not be treated as directly interchangeable measures.

Reynolds’ film credits also include supporting and voice performances, so this is a ranking of films associated with him, not a list of 44 movies in which he is necessarily the sole lead. Animation entries include The Croods, The Croods: A New Age, Turbo and Pokémon Detective Pikachu.
The lowest position belongs to R.I.P.D.
R.I.P.D. (2013) sits at number 44 with 13%, the lowest Tomatometer figure in the guide.

Why this is not a current, complete 2026 ranking
The guide’s September 2024 update predates later titles listed on Rotten Tomatoes’ Ryan Reynolds filmography. That profile includes John Candy: I Like Me (2025), listed at 89%, and Mayday (2026), listed at 83%. Neither appears in the 44-title guide. The profile entries establish that the guide is not a complete account of every later film credit; they do not establish a revised, exhaustive ranking or the guide’s eligibility rules.
For a current score or a decision about what to watch, check the individual title page: Tomatometer scores can change, and viewing options depend on region and date. Rotten Tomatoes listed Disney+ as a viewing option for Deadpool and Deadpool & Wolverine when the pages were checked, but availability is not universal or permanent. For home media, the official 20th Century Studios Deadpool page says the film is available on Blu-ray, DVD and digital; check the retailer and territory for current editions and stock.
