Yes. A first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer leak was reported, and ComicBook.com later said the official trailer differed substantially from the leaked footage. The official trailer is now available from Sony’s trailer page. The leak’s original uploader and exact provenance have not been established in the sources reviewed.
Which Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer leak does this refer to?
The title refers to the earlier reported leak that preceded the official trailer. It is not a claim that Sony’s current official trailer is itself leaked. The distinction matters because Games.gg reported a separate incident in June 2026 involving a second trailer: its account says an audio upload circulated first, followed by a grainy, zoomed-in recording, and that Sony issued copyright takedowns. That later episode should not be conflated with the earlier leak. Games.gg’s June 8, 2026 report describes the second leak; its interpretations of dialogue and plot are reporting, not studio confirmation.
Is the leaked Spider-Man trailer real, and how is it different from the official one?
ComicBook.com reported that the first official trailer differed from the leaked footage. The outlet relayed a comment by visual-effects contributor Daniel Anton Fernandez, who said that most shots for the official trailer were worked mostly from scratch. This is an attributed explanation about the official trailer’s shots, not a Sony statement confirming who made or uploaded the original leak. ComicBook.com reported the comparison on March 21, 2026.
That reporting supports the conclusion that the official trailer was materially different; it does not establish a complete, reliable shot-by-shot account of the leaked footage. Unauthenticated reposts, edits, and poor-quality recordings are not a sound basis for deciding what is in the finished film.

What does Sony officially confirm about the film?
Sony’s synopsis says Peter Parker is fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that does not remember him. It says the pressure of seeing old friends move on sparks a change in Peter that he may not be able to control, and that the transformation might be connected to a new threat to the city and those he loves. That is the studio’s published premise; it does not confirm every character theory, hidden-scene claim, or plot interpretation attached to leaked footage.
Sony identifies the movie as the fourth film featuring Tom Holland as Spider-Man, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Its listed cast includes Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo. Sony’s official pages also list the film’s formats and viewing options. See Sony’s official film page for the current synopsis and credits.

Where can you watch the official trailer?
Use Sony’s official trailer page for the studio-hosted version, rather than reposts of uncertain origin. The page credits Stan Lee and Steve Ditko as the source comic creators and lists the film as PG-13 for sequences of action/violence and some language.
As of the Sony pages reviewed for this article, the trailer page says the film is available on digital, 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-ray. Sony’s film page lists digital retailers including Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango, and Sony Pictures Core, as well as physical editions and retailer links. Availability can change; check Sony’s pages for current options. Sony notes that 4K HDR playback requires a compatible 4K UHD TV, Ultra HD Blu-ray player, and high-speed HDMI 2.0A cables.

What is still unknown about the first leak?
The sources reviewed do not establish who first recorded or uploaded the footage, the precise first-upload time or platform, whether Sony or Marvel publicly authenticated that first leak, or how widely it circulated. The Associated Press reported on April 14, 2026, that the official trailer had “over 1 billion views in its first four days,” attributing the figure to the trailer’s performance at that time; it is not a view count for the leaked footage. The Associated Press report also quoted Holland describing the film as “the most emotional” and “the most grown-up.” Neither statement verifies the leak’s reach or provenance.
