What “free” means for Champions League coverage
“Free” can describe several different arrangements. A free-to-air broadcast needs no subscription, while a free account may still require registration. A free trial can request payment details and renew automatically. A discounted introductory offer is not free, and highlights or studio shows are not full live matches. The cheapest complete U.S. route
Paramount+’s sports signup page displayed Essential at $8.99 per month and Premium at $13.99 per month when checked for this guide. Both listed plans included UEFA Champions League access; Premium added more live CBS programming. The signup page also stated that up to three devices could stream simultaneously. Prices are not permanent and may differ by date, taxes or billing channel.
A 99-cent-per-month introductory offer for the first two months appeared on Paramount+’s signup page but ended June 25, 2026. It is not a current deal on August 18, 2026. A free trial should be mentioned only when the live signup page actually displays one.
How to avoid an unwanted renewal
- Read the offer’s eligibility, end date and renewal price before submitting payment.
- Record the renewal date immediately.
- Cancel through the same platform that bills the account—Paramount+, Apple, Google, a television provider or another storefront—before renewal if continued access is unwanted.
- Keep the cancellation confirmation. Whether cancellation ends access immediately depends on the billing terms.
How to watch on Paramount+
- Open Paramount+ in a browser or supported app and create an account or sign in.
- Open the sports area or search for UEFA Champions League.
- Select the scheduled live event, studio program or available replay.
- Confirm that the account plan and physical location are eligible for the event.
- Use a supported phone, smart TV, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, Xbox or PlayStation; menus and device support can change.

How to find a genuinely free match legally
- Identify the country where you will watch.
- Open UEFA’s Where to watch page.
- Select that country and note its listed broadcaster.
- Check whether the broadcaster offers free-to-air television, a free web player, free registration, highlights only or paid access.
- Search the broadcaster’s own schedule for the exact fixture.
- Check requirements such as local residency, a regional IP address or a television-provider login.
Rights are territorial. A service that is free in one country may be unavailable elsewhere. Do not use a VPN to circumvent restrictions: it may breach service terms, cause playback or account failures and does not create legal broadcast entitlement.

For the U.S. 2025/26 season, the practical answer is no. Paramount+ was the complete live option and was normally paid. Free CBS Sports content was not established as coverage of every fixture. Distinguish among every match live, selected matches, delayed replays, highlights and studio coverage before subscribing or relying on a free channel.

Why the final needs a separate check
The final can have different rights from earlier rounds. Use UEFA’s dedicated final listing rather than assuming the regular tournament arrangement: Champions League final broadcasters. The 2025/26 U.S. listing included Paramount+, TUDN and DAZN.
If a listed match will not play
- Confirm the country, date and kickoff time.
- Check that the event appears in the account’s live schedule and that the plan includes it.
- Sign out and back in, then update or restart the app.
- Try a supported browser or device and disable extensions that interfere with playback.
