ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires is no longer an upcoming Disney project. The fourth film in Disney’s musical franchise premiered on Disney Channel on July 10, 2025, and became available to stream on Disney+ on July 11, 2025. The story sends Zed, Addison, Eliza and Willa away from Seabrook for a summer adventure involving rival supernatural communities, Daywalkers and Vampires.
Here is what is officially known about the film’s story, characters, cast, music, production and current availability—without revealing the ending.
What is ZOMBIES 4 about?
Set after the events of the first three films, ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires follows zombie football player Zed and alien cheerleader Addison as they leave Seabrook for a summer road trip with fellow zombie Eliza and werewolf Willa.
The trip takes an unexpected turn when the group becomes involved with two neighboring communities: Sunnyside, home to the Daywalkers, and Shadyside, home to the Vampires. The two groups have a long history of hostility, and Zed and Addison become camp counselors while trying to help Daywalker Nova and Vampire Victor move beyond that conflict.

The central problem is larger than a disagreement between campers. A new threat puts both communities at risk, forcing the returning characters and the new supernatural leads to work together.
Disney’s official material establishes the film’s central conflict but does not require revealing its resolution, so this overview avoids ending-specific spoilers.
Daywalkers versus Vampires
The fourth film expands the franchise’s supernatural world with two new groups. Daywalkers and Vampires are not simply new versions of the zombies, werewolves and aliens introduced in earlier installments; they have their own communities, abilities and longstanding rivalry.
- Nova is a Daywalker who can harness the power of the sun.
- Victor is a Vampire who can harness wind.
Their relationship forms the younger generation’s main emotional storyline. In a Disney interview, the filmmakers and cast described Nova and Victor as a “passing the torch” pairing that echoes the earlier Zed-and-Addison dynamic. That is best understood as a creative comparison from the interview, rather than a claim that the two relationships are identical.

Zed, Addison, Eliza and Willa remain important to the story, but the film also gives the new characters their own conflict to navigate.

How the fourth movie fits the franchise
Disney’s 2024 announcement cited 253 million hours watched across the first three films on linear and streaming platforms since the franchise began, as well as more than 2.7 billion music streams across specified YouTube and Disney music properties at that time.
Disney cited different figures in April 2025: nearly a quarter-billion streaming hours for the first three movies and more than 5.7 billion music streams across YouTube Music, Disney Channel YouTube and Disney Music Vevo. It also reported that the soundtracks for the first and third films had reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Kid Albums chart.
These figures come from Disney and use different dates, platforms and measurement scopes. They should not be added together or treated as directly comparable independent audience measurements.
ZOMBIES 4 merchandise
The film’s licensed merchandise line includes apparel, accessories, costumes and Mattel fashion dolls. One directly tied collectible is the ZOMBIES 4 Addison Wells fashion doll. Mattel’s official product page describes it as a movie-inspired doll with five accessories and 11 bendable joints, with a stated age grade of 6 years and older. Product availability, pricing and retailer stock can change, so the official Mattel page is the safest place to confirm the current details.
For music collectors, the green-vinyl Music from the Zombies compilation is another official option, although Disney Music Emporium currently lists it as out of stock. It is a franchise collection rather than a soundtrack album containing only the fourth film’s songs.
