The “$33 YouTube TV deal” means $33 off per month—not a $33 monthly subscription. The promotion reported in September 2025 reduced YouTube TV’s Base Plan from $82.99 to $49.99 for two months, saving $66 in total. It was targeted, not universal, and there is no current official confirmation that the exact offer remains broadly available as of August 11, 2026.
You can still check your account for the offer. The safest approach is to open YouTube TV in a desktop browser, go to Settings > Membership > Base plan > Manage, and review the price and billing terms shown before accepting anything.
What the hidden YouTube TV deal actually offered
| Detail | Reported promotion |
|---|---|
| Regular Base Plan price used in the reports | $82.99 per month |
| Promotional price | $49.99 per month |
| Monthly discount | $33 |
| Promotional period | Two months |
| Total reported savings | $66 |
| Availability | Selected accounts only |
In other words, the offer was not “YouTube TV for $33.” During the promotional period, an eligible customer would pay $49.99 per month. After the two discounted months, the membership would normally renew at the then-current regular price unless the customer canceled or another offer applied.
The promotion was reported by contemporary coverage and users between September 4 and September 6, 2025. Some existing subscribers reportedly saw it, and related reports indicated that some new subscribers may also have been eligible. Other accounts showed no offer at all.

How to check for the offer
- Open YouTube TV in a desktop web browser. A computer is preferable because some users reported not seeing the promotion in the mobile app.
- Sign in to the Google account associated with your YouTube TV membership.
- Select your profile photo in the upper-right area.
- Open Settings.
- Under Membership, find Base plan and select Manage.
- Look for an account-specific offer showing a price of approximately $49.99 per month for two months, or another promotion presented directly by YouTube TV.
- Before confirming, check the final screen for the promotional price, the number of discounted months, the renewal price, taxes, and any add-ons.
You may also see an additional account-related selection after opening Base plan management. Interface labels can change, so do not treat the reported path as guaranteed. YouTube’s general membership-management instructions confirm the Settings, Membership, and Manage area, but they do not guarantee that a particular retention or targeted promotion will appear there.
What to do if you do not see $49.99
If the offer is missing, the most likely explanation is that your account was not selected or that the promotion has ended. It does not necessarily indicate a billing problem.
- Try the desktop website rather than only the mobile app.
- Confirm that you are signed in to the Google account that owns the membership.
- Check the Base plan management page instead of relying on an email, search result, or old screenshot.
- Do not assume that canceling will make the offer appear.
- Do not accept a different promotion unless its price and duration work for you.
There is no current official confirmation, as of August 11, 2026, that the exact $33-off-for-two-months promotion is a live universal offer. YouTube’s current official offer terms continue to list the Base Plan at $82.99 per month, subject to change, while identifying other promotions. Treat the original $33 discount as a possible targeted offer—not as a deal every subscriber can activate.
Check the billing details before you accept
Targeted subscription offers can be easy to misunderstand because the attractive price may apply only for a limited period. Before submitting the offer, verify all of the following:
- Discounted price: Is the amount actually $49.99 per month, or has it changed?
- Duration: Does the discount last two billing cycles, and when does the first discounted charge occur?
- Renewal price: What price will apply after the promotion ends?
- Taxes: Is the displayed price before applicable taxes?
- Add-ons: Are premium networks or other extras included in the quoted total?
- Effective date: Does the offer apply immediately, at the next renewal, or only to a new membership?
Save a screenshot or copy of the confirmation page if you accept the offer. The checkout or membership screen is more authoritative for your account than a report about the original promotion.

Should you cancel YouTube TV to chase the discount?
No—not solely to try to trigger this offer. YouTube says that canceling generally does not remove access immediately; access normally continues until the end of the current payment or trial period. However, restarting later may make you ineligible for promotional pricing. Canceling can also affect access to previous recordings or the terms under which the membership is restored.
Pausing is different from canceling, but it is not a reliable way to obtain the $33 discount. YouTube says a paused membership resumes at the normal monthly price unless another offer is shown to you.
The practical rule is simple: if the offer is visibly available in your account, read and accept it according to the displayed terms. If it is not there, do not cancel a working membership in the hope that YouTube will present a retention offer.

The exact $33-off promotion is not the only possible way to reduce the Base Plan price. YouTube’s current official offer terms list other promotions, with eligibility restrictions and deadlines. These offers are generally for people who are not current main-plan subscribers and who may not have previously subscribed to or trialed the Base Plan.
Google Store offer: $20 off for five months
The listed Google Store promotion reduces the stated $82.99 monthly price by $20, producing a promotional price of $62.99 per month for five months. The terms identify the offer as being for customers who are not current Base Plan subscribers and who have not previously subscribed to or trialed the Base Plan. The listed redemption deadline is August 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Eligibility and the deadline should be confirmed in the official offer terms and at checkout. This is not the same offer as the reported $49.99-for-two-months promotion.
Google TV offer: $20 off for six months
YouTube’s terms also list a Google TV promotion providing $20 off per month for six months to eligible U.S. participants who receive a promotional code through Google TV. The listed redemption deadline is March 31, 2027.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe offer is restricted to people who are not current main-plan subscribers and who have not previously subscribed to or trialed the main plan. A promotional code and other conditions may be required, so having a Google TV device alone should not be treated as proof of eligibility.
ID.me offer for eligible groups
An ID.me-verified promotion is listed for eligible U.S. active military members, veterans, teachers, nurses, and first responders. The terms describe a $15 monthly discount and a stated promotional price of $52.99, with a listed redemption deadline of December 31, 2026.
There is an important ambiguity in the published wording: it refers to a 12-month discount but also says that the stated $52.99 price applies for the first four months. Because those statements do not clearly establish one duration, rely on the offer shown after verification and on the final checkout terms rather than assuming the discount lasts 12 months.

Optional hardware: you do not need a streaming device to claim the discount
YouTube TV can be watched through supported smart TVs, streaming players, game consoles, phones, tablets, and web browsers. The subscription promotion is tied to account eligibility, not to buying a particular device.
Recommended Free Tools
If your television is older or its built-in apps no longer support YouTube TV, an optional Google TV Streamer (4K) can provide a current way to watch the service. It is not required to check for or activate the $33-off offer. The Google TV-connected promotion and the physical Google TV Streamer product should also be treated as separate matters: a device purchase does not automatically guarantee a subscription discount.
Disclosure: This optional device mention may be eligible for a retailer referral arrangement. The device is not necessary to claim the subscription promotion, and availability and price can change.
Do not confuse this offer with the old T-Mobile promotion
A separate T-Mobile promotion from 2022 offered eligible Magenta MAX customers YouTube TV at approximately half price—around $33 per month. That carrier-specific promotion is unrelated to the hidden $33 discount reported in September 2025.
The T-Mobile deal should not be used as an activation method for the current account check, and the two promotions should not be combined when comparing prices.

Is the $33-off promotion still available in 2026?
There is no current official confirmation that the exact promotion is universally active as of August 11, 2026. Check Settings > Membership > Base plan > Manage, but treat it as a possible targeted offer.

Can I find the offer in the YouTube TV mobile app?

The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Check YouTube TV > profile photo > Settings > Membership > Base plan > Manage from a desktop browser. If your account shows $49.99 for two months, the reported $33-off deal may be available to you—but verify the renewal price and expiration before confirming. If it does not appear, do not cancel merely to hunt for it; review YouTube’s current account-specific or eligibility-based alternatives instead.
