How the 2025 ceremony was broadcast
FOX was the video broadcast
The main awards show aired on FOX from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Cable and satellite subscribers could use their local FOX station, while viewers with an antenna could watch if their market received an over-the-air FOX affiliate.
Local affiliate coverage is market-specific. A television package or live-TV streaming subscription did not automatically guarantee access to FOX everywhere, so viewers needed to check the channel lineup for their ZIP code. This was particularly important for people using a streaming service rather than a traditional television provider.
Live-TV streaming services
Event-day viewing guides listed Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, DIRECTV Stream, and YouTube TV as potential ways to watch FOX without cable. Those services only worked for viewers in markets where the relevant package carried the local FOX affiliate. Prices, channel lineups, blackout rules, and trial eligibility can change, so none should be treated as a universally free option or as a guaranteed current replay source. Contemporaneous coverage from Forbes listed these live-TV alternatives during the 2025 broadcast.
If a service’s ZIP-code lookup showed the local FOX station, it could have been used in the same way as a cable subscription. If FOX was not available, the practical alternatives were an antenna, another provider with the local affiliate, or the iHeartRadio audio coverage.

Can you listen on iHeartRadio without cable?
Yes. The 2025 ceremony was carried live as audio on iHeartMedia stations nationwide and through the free iHeartRadio app. The official wording confirmed that the event would be broadcast on iHeartMedia stations and heard through the app.

That distinction matters: the iHeartRadio app was an officially confirmed audio option, not automatically a free video stream of the FOX telecast. Unless a separate official video page is available, readers should not assume that opening the app provides the full awards-show picture.
For someone who could not receive FOX, the iHeartRadio feed was the simplest legal no-cable option. It provided the ceremony’s audio at the same time as the live broadcast, but not the visual performances, red-carpet footage, or on-screen graphics.
When did the red-carpet pre-show start?
iHeartRadio Music Awards Red Carpet Live began at 5:30 p.m. ET and was scheduled to run until 7:30 p.m. ET. It was separate from the main FOX telecast, which did not begin until 8 p.m. ET.
The official event-period iHeartRadio YouTube listing identified the two-hour digital pre-show. iHeart also promoted the red carpet through its digital and social platforms. Since the 2025 event is over, that live listing or its associated stream may no longer be available.
In other words, the schedule was:
- 5:30 p.m. ET: Red Carpet Live begins.
- 7:30 p.m. ET: Red Carpet Live ends.
- 8 p.m. ET: The awards ceremony begins on FOX and the iHeartRadio audio feed.
What did the time-zone schedule mean?
The clearest wording is 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT. Official materials also used the notation 8/7c. The Eastern feed was live, while the Pacific television feed was tape-delayed.

It is therefore imprecise to write simply 8 p.m. ET/PT. That wording can suggest that the program began simultaneously at 8 p.m. in both Eastern and Pacific time. The official schedule instead described the program as 8–10 p.m. ET live and tape-delayed in PT. West Coast viewers should check their local FOX listing for the actual broadcast time. The iHeartRadio audio feed was live nationwide during the live broadcast window.
Where could you watch the 2025 awards after the broadcast?
Replay rights were less certain than the live broadcast. A USA TODAY Network report published after the event said the full 2025 ceremony was available on Hulu and that subscribers to services such as Fubo, Sling, DIRECTV Stream, and YouTube TV could also find it through their on-demand libraries.

- Hulu’s current search results and catalog;
- FOX’s current streaming destination, if the program is still licensed there;
- the DVR or on-demand library of the live-TV service used to watch FOX; and
- iHeartRadio’s official awards coverage for clips, highlights, and the winners list.
The official 2025 winners page confirms the completed event and provides post-show coverage, but it should not be treated as proof that the entire telecast remains available.
What was featured at the 2025 ceremony?
LL COOL J hosted the 2025 ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The announced performance lineup included Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, GloRilla, Gracie Abrams, Kenny Chesney, Muni Long, and Nelly, among others. As with any awards-show preview, announced artists and segments were subject to change; iHeart’s official release warned that performers and events could change or be canceled without notice.

- Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour: Tour of the Century recognition, with an exclusive performance from the tour’s opening night included in the broadcast.
The event celebrated the artists and songs most played on iHeartRadio stations and through the iHeartRadio app during 2024, while also looking ahead to music expected in 2025. Its categories and presentation are therefore shaped by radio and fan engagement rather than following exactly the same model as a general industry awards show such as the Grammys.
Who led the 2025 nominations?
Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen led the nominations with 10 each. Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, and Sabrina Carpenter followed with nine nominations apiece. The nominee field covered pop, country, hip-hop, R&B, Latin, K-pop, rock, and other formats.
Some categories were fan-voted, but voting is no longer open. Social voting for the 2025 fan-voted categories closed on March 10, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. PT, before the ceremony.
What is the latest iHeartRadio Music Awards status?
The 2025 ceremony was not the latest edition. The 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards took place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, and aired on FOX from 8–10 p.m. ET, with a tape-delayed West Coast television feed and iHeartRadio audio coverage. Ludacris hosted the 13th annual ceremony.
As of August 10, 2026, the official iHeartRadio Music Awards hub and iHeartMedia events page identify the 2026 event but do not publish an official 2027 date or start time. Any page listing a 2027 time without an official iHeartRadio or FOX announcement should be treated as unconfirmed.

The verified distribution information establishes U.S. FOX coverage and nationwide iHeartMedia audio coverage. It does not establish a single official international television or video partner for Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, or other countries.
International viewers should check the broadcaster or streaming service in their own country. The fact that an iHeart red-carpet stream may have been accessible through social platforms does not prove that the complete awards ceremony had international video rights.
