For a confirmed free option, DAZN Boxing has published official fight highlights on YouTube. The original live broadcast was a separate DAZN pay-per-view purchase, not simply a fight included with every ordinary DAZN subscription.
Where can you watch Canelo vs. Scull now?
The original live PPV is no longer available to purchase as a live event. DAZN’s PPV help information says that live pay-per-view events are generally available on demand only for a limited period after the broadcast; one current version of the FAQ specifies seven days. That original replay window has expired.

DAZN nevertheless has an official U.K. page titled Canelo vs. Scull: Full Event Replay. The page may not be playable in every country, and it may require an active DAZN login or a particular account entitlement. Open it from your own country, sign in, and look for a playable full-event listing before assuming that the replay is included.
The safest current options are:
- Full event: Check the official DAZN replay page. Access is not universal and should be verified at playback.
- Free highlights: Watch the official DAZN Boxing highlights video.
- Unofficial streams: Avoid social-media links, mirror sites and torrent streams. They are not verified legal viewing options and can lead to malware, fake payment pages or stolen-account scams.
The original live-stream answer
For the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and the other territories where DAZN held the rights, Canelo–Scull was sold as a DAZN Pay-Per-View event. A DAZN account was needed, but a normal monthly or annual subscription did not automatically mean that the fight was included. Viewers generally had to purchase the event separately, either after signing in or during the new-customer checkout process.
DAZN was the central international broadcaster, but rights were not identical everywhere. Reports identified ESPN KnockOut and Disney+ in at least parts of Latin America, while Mexican television coverage was reported as free or delayed rather than a universal live broadcast. Do not assume that a U.S. DAZN listing or price applies in every country.

The U.S. price and bundle were reported by AL.com; U.K., Ireland and Australian figures were reported by What to Watch and TechRadar. Do not substitute a current DAZN membership price for the historical event price.

The Mexico distinction is reported by Fox Sports México. The Latin American ESPN KnockOut and Disney+ arrangement was reported by El Comercio. Local rights can change, so the country-specific service is the final authority.
When did the fight start?
The event was staged in Riyadh for a U.S.-friendly broadcast schedule, which is why the date differs depending on where you were watching:

The 7 p.m. ET time referred to the beginning of the card, not Canelo’s ring walk. The 11 p.m. ET figure was an estimate; undercard bouts, knockouts, extended ring introductions and broadcast delays could move the main event considerably. The World Boxing Council’s event guide also listed approximately 11 p.m. Eastern for the U.S. broadcast.
How the DAZN PPV purchase worked
For the original live event, the practical purchase path was:
- Open DAZN for your country and confirm that the event is offered there.
- Sign in or create a DAZN account.
- Select the required DAZN membership or account option if the checkout requests one.
- Choose the Canelo–Scull PPV, and add the event or bundle separately where shown.
- Complete payment using an accepted card or supported in-app billing method.
- After purchase, find the event from the DAZN homepage, search results, schedule or dedicated event tile.
- Open the DAZN app or website on the device where you intend to watch and sign in to the same account.
DAZN’s PPV guidance says new customers can often add a PPV during sign-up, while existing customers can buy it from their account. Some smart TVs and consoles do not support completing the purchase directly. In that case, buy on a phone or computer, or scan the QR code shown by the TV or console app, then return to the viewing device.
A normal DAZN subscription and the PPV were separate products for this event. If you already had DAZN, check your account’s purchases rather than assuming that your membership included Canelo–Scull. Conversely, if checkout offered a membership and PPV together, review the recurring-subscription terms before confirming payment.
What about a free trial?
Do not rely on an old article promising a seven-day trial. DAZN help pages have shown different trial descriptions, including seven- and eight-day offers, depending on the country, date and checkout flow. If a trial is offered, use only the terms displayed during checkout and note the cancellation deadline; failing to cancel can convert the account to a paid subscription. A trial would not by itself prove that the PPV was included.
DAZN’s current U.S. plans and prices are separate from the May 2025 event price. Check the current U.S. DAZN plans page only for present-day account rules, not as evidence of what Canelo–Scull cost.
Supported devices
DAZN’s supported-device categories include:
- Web browsers on Mac, Windows and Chromebook computers.
- iPhone, iPad, Android phones and Android tablets.
- Smart TVs from brands including Samsung, LG, Sony, Panasonic, Hisense, Philips and Android TV models.
- Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast and Roku.
- PlayStation and Xbox consoles, subject to the model, operating system and current app support.
Device compatibility and minimum software versions change. Consult DAZN’s current supported-devices page, install or update the app, and sign in before an event rather than waiting until the ring walks.

Can several people watch the PPV at once?
Do not assume that a normal multi-device DAZN membership allows several households to watch a PPV simultaneously. DAZN’s current U.S. help information says PPV viewing is limited to one device in one location, regardless of the ordinary subscription tier. That is a current policy and should not be treated as an unchanging rule for every country or every historical event.
Was there a free legal live stream?
No verified free U.S. live stream was identified in the event-era coverage reviewed. The U.S. legal live option was DAZN PPV.

Some reports associated the fight with free television or digital broadcasts, while others emphasized that DAZN controlled the live presentation and that Mexican TV showings were delayed. The careful answer is: free or delayed local coverage was reported in Mexico, but it should not be confused with a confirmed live DAZN stream. Check the local listing rather than assuming that Azteca 7, Canal 5 or another outlet showed the bout live.
For current viewing, the confirmed free official option is DAZN’s YouTube highlights, not necessarily the complete fight. Do not treat a video labelled as a full fight on an unverified channel as an authorized broadcast.
Can a VPN unlock the fight?
A VPN is not a guaranteed way to access DAZN content from another country. Broadcasters can apply territory checks, account-country rules, payment requirements and terms of service that a VPN does not bypass. It may also conflict with the service’s restrictions.
If you are travelling, check DAZN’s rules and the rights holder’s local offering. Use a broadcaster only where you are permitted to do so, and do not misrepresent your billing country. A locally licensed DAZN, ESPN or Disney+ listing is preferable to trying to force access through another region.

Saúl Canelo Álvarez defeated William Scull by unanimous decision after 12 rounds. The reported official scorecards were 115–113, 116–112 and 119–109 for Álvarez. The WBA’s scoring analysis records a theoretical 116–112 score for Canelo and lists the official cards.

Canelo entered as the holder of the WBA, WBC and WBO super-middleweight titles. Scull entered as the IBF champion, making the bout an undisputed super-middleweight unification fight. The WBC’s post-fight report described Canelo as regaining the IBF belt and becoming undisputed. The win moved his reported record to 63–2–2 with 39 knockouts.
The card was marketed as Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves in association with Riyadh Season. The venue was called The Venue Riyadh Season in official material and was also reported as ANB Arena. The event announcement is available from Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority.

DAZN troubleshooting
I bought DAZN but cannot see the fight
- Check the purchase: A subscription may have been purchased without the separate PPV.
- Check the account: Sign out and back in using the email address that completed payment.
- Check the territory: The event may not be available under the account’s country or current location.
- Check the event window: The original PPV access period has ended, and an archive replay may not be available in your market.
- Search beyond the boxing page: Look under DAZN Search, Schedule or a dedicated event tile.
These are consistent with the purchase and viewing scenarios described in DAZN’s PPV FAQ.
The event is not showing on my smart TV
Some television apps allow viewing but not PPV checkout. Complete the purchase on a phone or computer, or scan the QR code offered by the TV or console app. Then open DAZN on the television and use the same account. Updating the app and restarting the device can also resolve a stale event listing.
The published start time looked wrong
Check whether the time referred to the full card or the main-event ring walks. The card was listed for about 7 p.m. ET, while Canelo’s ring walks were expected around 11 p.m. ET. Also check the date: it was May 3 in U.S. time zones but May 4 in Riyadh. Ring-walk estimates are never guaranteed because the undercard controls when the main event begins.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still buy the Canelo vs. William Scull PPV?
Not as the original live PPV. That event took place on May 3, 2025, and the normal post-event purchase window has expired. DAZN may still show an archive replay in some territories, so check the official replay page after signing in.
