Episode 1122 aired on October 13, 2024. Toei Animation then announced a planned production break. During the hiatus, a re-edited version of the Fish-Man Island arc occupied the anime’s regular broadcast period, rather than the story immediately continuing with new Egghead episodes.

The break explains both the heavy interest in Episode 1124’s release date and the unusual fact that Episodes 1123 and 1124 aired on consecutive nights.
