What happened to the YouTube TV credit?
Disney-owned channels disappeared from YouTube TV on October 30, 2025, after the companies’ agreement expired. The affected lineup included ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel, FX, Freeform and related networks. YouTube TV later announced a one-time $20 credit toward a future YouTube TV bill, and YouTube TV and Disney announced a new agreement on November 14, 2025.
The original announcement and subscriber instructions are available from YouTube TV support and YouTube’s announcement. The stated deadline to redeem the credit was December 9, 2025. That date has passed, so a subscriber who never claimed it generally cannot start a new claim in 2026.
What the $20 benefit was—and was not
- It was a one-time credit toward a future YouTube TV bill.
- It was not $20 in cash, a recurring monthly discount or a general Google account balance.
- It was not a Disney+, Hulu or ESPN credit.
- It was separate from any later promotional or retention offer.
Eligibility was tied to the affected YouTube TV subscription and the offer’s redemption window. The published materials do not establish a universal rule for every canceled account, later subscription or overlapping promotion.

How the original claim worked
The following is the historical process for subscribers who claimed the offer before the deadline.
Direct-billed YouTube TV accounts
- Sign in to the primary YouTube TV account.
- Go to tv.youtube.com.
- Open Settings.
- Select Updates.
- Choose Claim credit and confirm that the credit should apply to the next bill.
Google Play and other third-party billing
YouTube TV said subscribers billed through Google Play or another third-party provider would receive the credit automatically rather than claim it manually. Check the account’s Billing information to see who handles payment. The announcement did not establish one identical procedure for every billing intermediary, including Apple or Roku.

If you claimed the credit but never saw it
A late request is not the same as a timely claim that failed to post. If you claimed the credit by December 9, 2025, compare your confirmation with the next eligible invoice. Then contact YouTube TV Help and provide:
- The primary account email address.
- The date you claimed the offer.
- A confirmation email or screenshot, if available.
- Billing records showing that the expected credit was not applied.
Support may investigate a documented, timely claim; there is no published basis for assuming it must create a new entitlement after the deadline.

The separate Disney settlement still open in 2026
The $20 credit should not be confused with a separate $50 million partial class-action settlement involving Disney and qualifying YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream subscribers. The settlement website says the YouTube TV class covers purchases made from April 1, 2019, through March 31, 2026, subject to exclusions and verification.

How to file the settlement claim
The settlement administrator says a timely, valid claim form is the only way to receive a payment. Use the official site rather than a social-media link or a paid filing service.
- Visit OnlineTVSettlement.com.
- Select the option to start a claim.
- Identify the qualifying YouTube TV subscription.
- Complete the form and sign the verification statement.
- Submit online by September 8, 2026, or mail the form so it is postmarked by that date.
- Keep the online confirmation or a copy of the mailed form.
The claim form and notice are available at the settlement claim document and the long-form notice.

How much could the settlement pay?
The settlement materials describe a pro-rata payment based on subscription duration. The final amount will depend on the number of valid claims and the court-approved distribution process. It is not a second $20 credit, and membership alone does not produce an automatic payment.
Important deadline and scam warnings
- Missing September 8, 2026, can eliminate the ability to receive a settlement payment.
- Incomplete forms or an unsigned verification statement can cause a claim to fail review.
- Do not pay an unofficial service to submit a claim or provide unnecessary payment information.
- Doing nothing means receiving no settlement benefit and giving up certain legal rights covered by the settlement, as explained in the official notice.
