Pre-show prediction: LA Knight was the logical pick to win. A title change would provide a meaningful payoff for his championship challenge and reconnect him with a title he had previously held.
Chelsea Green vs. Michin — Women’s United States Championship Street Fight
Inaugural Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green defended against Michin in a Street Fight. The stipulation allowed the match to proceed without the usual disqualification restrictions, making weapons and outside involvement central possibilities. WWE’s preview specifically highlighted Michin’s association with kendo-stick attacks.
Pre-show prediction: Chelsea Green to retain. Green’s opportunistic character and the no-disqualification rules made an interference-assisted or chaotic finish a reasonable expectation.
Braun Strowman vs. Solo Sikoa
Braun Strowman faced Solo Sikoa after Sikoa interfered in Strowman’s previous United States Championship opportunity. WWE presented the match as Strowman’s chance to get payback.
Pre-show prediction: Strowman to win, although interference involving Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu was a credible alternative because of Sikoa’s wider Bloodline-related conflict.
Tiffany Stratton vs. Piper Niven — non-title match
WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton wrestled Piper Niven in a singles match with the championship not on the line. Stratton was heading toward her WrestleMania 41 program with Charlotte Flair.
Pre-show prediction: Stratton to win and maintain momentum before WrestleMania.

Pre-show prediction: Motor City Machine Guns. Their established team identity made them a strong choice to create a fresh title challenge, although all three teams were credible winners.
Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton appearances
Cody Rhodes was advertised to return to SmackDown after John Cena attacked him and aligned with The Rock at Elimination Chamber. Randy Orton was also involved in the episode’s developing conflict with Cena and Kevin Owens.
Pre-show expectation: Rhodes would directly address Cena or The Rock, while Orton would further explain or escalate his issues with Cena and Owens. These were advertised appearances and storyline segments, not announced matches.
WWE SmackDown March 7, 2025 results
LA Knight defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to win the United States Championship
LA Knight captured the United States Championship and became a two-time United States Champion. The finish came after Nakamura accidentally misted the official. Knight then hit a BFT on Nakamura while a chair was strategically positioned, allowing him to secure the victory and the title.
This was the night’s clearest championship payoff: Knight’s opportunity led directly to a title change and gave the United States Championship a new direction.
For collectors: LA Knight merchandise

Tiffany Stratton defeated Piper Niven in a non-title match
Stratton won with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever. The match itself did not put the WWE Women’s Championship at stake, but the aftermath immediately intensified her rivalry with Charlotte Flair: Flair attacked Stratton and applied the Figure Eight after the bell.
The post-match assault made the segment more important than a routine non-title victory. Stratton left with the win, but Flair made sure the champion also absorbed a direct warning before their WrestleMania 41 program.

Chelsea Green retained the Women’s United States Championship after Alba Fyre assisted her. The Street Fight used chairs, kendo sticks, chains and tables to create the expected chaotic setting, and the no-disqualification rules allowed the interference to stand.
The result protected Green as champion while adding Alba Fyre to the champion’s support structure. Michin did not get the decisive title victory she was seeking.
Pretty Deadly won the Triple Threat tag-team match
Pretty Deadly defeated Motor City Machine Guns and Los Garza to become the No. 1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
The finish came after Kit Wilson disrupted the closing sequence, allowing Elton Prince to pin Chris Sabin. This was one of the episode’s notable prediction reversals: Motor City Machine Guns were the pre-show pick, but Pretty Deadly earned the title opportunity.

The no-contest finish preserved the broader conflict instead of resolving it through a straightforward Strowman victory. It also kept the surrounding Bloodline-related tensions active for future episodes.
Drew McIntyre defeated Jimmy Uso
Drew McIntyre defeated Jimmy Uso with a Claymore after Uso missed a splash. Damian Priest confronted McIntyre after the match, creating another post-match escalation rather than allowing McIntyre to celebrate without interruption.
Cody Rhodes addressed John Cena and The Rock
Cody Rhodes delivered his message to John Cena and The Rock following Cena’s attack on Rhodes and his alignment with The Rock at Elimination Chamber. The segment kept the principal WrestleMania 41-related story at the center of SmackDown.
Randy Orton spoke about John Cena and Kevin Owens
Randy Orton addressed the developing situation involving Cena and Kevin Owens. His appearance advanced the conflict through words and positioning rather than a newly announced match.
Jade Cargill returned and attacked Naomi
Jade Cargill made her return and attacked Naomi after Naomi admitted that she had been Cargill’s attacker. The revelation and immediate retaliation moved the mystery angle into an openly hostile rivalry.

What the episode changed
- LA Knight became a two-time United States Champion. The title change was the show’s most direct payoff and creates a new championship program around Knight.
- Charlotte Flair escalated her rivalry with Tiffany Stratton. Flair’s post-match Figure Eight attack turned Stratton’s non-title win into a personal confrontation.
- Pretty Deadly moved into the tag-title picture. Their victory over two established teams earned them a WWE Tag Team Championship opportunity.
- Chelsea Green retained with new support. Alba Fyre’s assistance helped Green survive Michin and strengthened the champion’s alliance.
- Strowman and Sikoa remained unresolved. The no contest and ensuing involvement from Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu kept the dispute open.
- The WrestleMania 41 stories intensified. Rhodes continued his response to Cena and The Rock, while Stratton and Flair’s feud became more physical.
- Jade Cargill’s return changed the Naomi angle. Naomi’s admission led immediately to Cargill’s attack and a clearer rivalry.
