WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth drew an announced attendance of more than 52,000 at Optus Stadium on 24 February 2024. WWE called it the most-watched Elimination Chamber in company history, but a contemporaneous report said the company had not released a final worldwide viewer count. Its broadcast reach and the media impressions reported by a Western Australian government agency are different measures—not audience totals.

What happened at Optus Stadium?

WWE held Elimination Chamber: Perth on Saturday, 24 February 2024. It was the company’s first event in Australia since 2018. WWE had announced the event in September 2023 as its only Premium Live Event in the Asia-Pacific region that year. WWE’s announcement set the event at Optus Stadium in Perth.

In the week before the show, the Western Australian Government promoted fan activities and a WWE Superstore at Forrest Place, alongside the event’s international distribution. These were event-period activities, not evidence that the same offers or programs are available now. The government’s 21 February 2024 statement describes that event-week context.

How many people attended WWE Elimination Chamber in Perth?

PerthNow reported attendance of more than 52,000 and quoted WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H giving the figure as 52,090. In 2025, WWE again described the crowd as more than 52,000. These are announced and reported attendance figures; the cited accounts do not establish an independently audited count. PerthNow’s 27 February 2024 report attributes the precise figure to Triple H, while WWE’s 2025 recap repeats the rounded figure.

Was Elimination Chamber: Perth the most-watched WWE Elimination Chamber?

WWE said it was the most-watched Elimination Chamber in company history. That is the company’s comparative claim, not a published worldwide viewer total: PerthNow reported that WWE had not released final worldwide viewing figures. No exact number of people who watched the Perth event is established by those accounts.

WWE had previously said the 2023 Montreal Elimination Chamber was up 54 percent in viewership against the previous record, set in 2022. That historical comparison describes Montreal’s performance against its own predecessor; it does not quantify Perth’s audience. WWE’s Montreal announcement provides that separate context.

How many countries broadcast Elimination Chamber: Perth?

In its 2023 event announcement, WWE projected that the show would be broadcast in approximately 165 countries, in 25 languages, and seen in more than one billion homes. The Western Australian Government later described it as live in more than 165 countries and 25 languages. These figures refer to potential distribution reach, not the number of people who tuned in. A home within a distribution footprint is not necessarily a viewing household, much less a count of individual viewers.

WWE’s exact phrasing was: “WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth will be broadcast live in approximately 165 countries in 25 languages and seen in more than 1 billion homes.” The original WWE announcement contains the projection; the state government’s event-week statement gives its later description of the broadcast footprint.

What does the 4.41 billion media-impressions figure mean?

A Western Australian government agency report was summarized as saying that nearly 500 global news items generated 4.41 billion media impressions. This is a reported measure of potential exposure to news coverage, not 4.41 billion unique people and not the number who watched the wrestling event. The exact figure appeared in the agency report’s search result, but its PDF page was not accessible in the cited source record, so it should be treated as an attributed agency figure rather than an independently checked audience count. The agency’s research and insights page is the source for that report context.

How to read the different records

  • Attendance: More than 52,000 was announced and reported; 52,090 was attributed to Triple H by PerthNow.
  • Viewership: WWE called Perth its most-watched Elimination Chamber, but the contemporaneous report said no final worldwide total had been released.
  • Distribution: WWE projected availability across countries, languages, and homes; those figures describe reach, not confirmed viewing.
  • Media impressions: The government agency’s reported figure concerns global news coverage exposure, not unique readers or event viewers.

Together, these measures support the significance of the Perth event while answering different questions. None should be substituted for another.
