On Saturday, September 20, 2025, WWE staged Wrestlepalooza at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, and AEW held All Out at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. Both shows fell on the same calendar day, but their published start times were not the same, so they did not start head-to-head. Both events are now in the past. This article explains the dates, listed times, and viewing routes that were published for each show, and how to check the schedule for any current event.
The two events on September 20, 2025
The year matters here because the phrase “September 20” appears in wrestling coverage every year. The events described above took place in 2025. AEW’s official results page confirms that All Out took place at the Toronto arena on September 20. WWE’s August 20, 2025 announcement and event listing place Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis on the same date.
| Event | Date and venue | Published start time | Published viewing route |
|---|---|---|---|
| WWE Wrestlepalooza | Saturday, September 20, 2025; Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana | 6:30 p.m. on WWE’s event listing (time zone not stated in that listing). WWE’s announcement gives a 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT stream start. | ESPN direct-to-consumer service in the United States, which WWE described as the exclusive U.S. domestic home of its Premium Live Events from that day. |
| AEW All Out | Saturday, September 20, 2025; Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, Ontario, Canada | 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT, according to AEW’s September 20 preview. | HBO Max and pay-per-view. The preview also names Amazon Prime and YouTube as availability routes. |
Why the start times do not show a head-to-head clash
A reader comparing the two listings will notice that the AEW start time and the WWE stream start time are three to four hours apart in Eastern Time. Even the WWE venue listing, at 6:30 p.m., does not match AEW’s 3 p.m. ET preview. The published times therefore do not support the claim that the two shows started at the same moment. What the sources do support is narrower: both events were scheduled on the same date, in different cities, with different broadcast routes.
Because the WWE venue listing does not state a time zone, the 6:30 p.m. figure should be read as a local time for Indianapolis rather than a time that can be converted with confidence. The 7 p.m. ET stream start from WWE’s announcement is the clearer figure for comparison.

How each show was made available
WWE Wrestlepalooza: ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service
WWE’s August 20, 2025 announcement tied the event to the start of its new partnership with ESPN. The announcement described ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service as the exclusive U.S. domestic home of WWE Premium Live Events beginning that day. WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, said in the same announcement: “On September 20, WWE and ESPN are coming together for a can’t-miss event to kick off our new partnership.” The statement is WWE’s framing of the launch, not an independent assessment of the show.
AEW All Out: pay-per-view, HBO Max, and other routes
AEW’s September 20 preview listed HBO Max and pay-per-view as the main routes for All Out. It also named Amazon Prime and YouTube as availability options. The preview does not explain which route applied in each country, so the listing should be read as a set of possibilities rather than a single regional rule. AEW’s May 20, 2025 venue announcement confirmed Scotiabank Arena as the host building.

Regional and platform limits
Both broadcast arrangements were specific to their time and place. WWE’s ESPN arrangement was described for the United States. AEW’s listed routes did not say which applied in Canada, the United States, or elsewhere. Neither arrangement should be assumed to still be in force. Streaming rights and partner platforms change, and a 2025 listing says nothing about access in 2026.
Checking the schedule for a current event
AEW’s official upcoming events page, checked on October 8, 2026, lists later events rather than the September 2025 shows. Anyone using this article as a guide to a current date should verify the details from the promotion’s own pages before relying on them. A reliable check follows these steps:

- Open the promotion’s official events page for the event in question, not a third-party calendar.
- Confirm the full date, including the year, and the venue city.
- Note the time zone attached to the start time. If no zone is stated, ask the promotion or check the venue’s local listing before converting.
- Look for the broadcast route in your own country. Streaming and pay-per-view arrangements differ by region and can change between announcements.
- Check the event page again close to the show date, since start times and platforms are sometimes updated.
What the published sources do not establish
The sources for these two events establish the date, venue, listed time, and listed viewing routes. They do not provide attendance figures, audience sizes, or a comparison of card quality, so this article makes no claim about which show drew more viewers or was better received.
- Not established: any simultaneous start time for the two events.
- Not established: which AEW route applied in a given country.
- Not established: whether any of the 2025 access arrangements still apply.
For this topic, the answer is a comparison of two historical schedules. Both events are now in the past, and the 2025 listings described here should be treated as a record of how the shows were presented at the time.
