Jey Uso won the men’s Royal Rumble and Charlotte Flair won the women’s Royal Rumble at WWE Royal Rumble 2025, held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Cody Rhodes retained the Undisputed WWE Championship over Kevin Owens in a ladder match, and #DIY retained the WWE Tag Team Championship. WWE described both Rumble winners as earning world championship matches at WrestleMania 41, which made the event a major step in that build.

Men’s Royal Rumble
Jey Uso’s win
Uso entered at No. 20 and lasted 36:59, according to WWE’s official statistics. He recorded three eliminations. His final elimination of John Cena decided the match, and WWE’s recap positions the win as a path to a WrestleMania 41 world championship match.

The Cena and Uso finish
The closing sequence began after Cena eliminated Logan Paul. Cena and Uso then fought on the apron. Uso avoided an Attitude Adjustment and shoved Cena to the floor, which set up Uso as the last man standing.
The CM Punk and Roman Reigns eliminations
CM Punk eliminated Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins at the same time. Logan Paul then eliminated Punk. WWE’s recap says Rollins attacked Reigns after the eliminations. That attack is a storyline development from the event’s own recap rather than a confirmed match result, and it is the kind of moment that WWE used to push its WrestleMania narratives.

- Joe Hendry, the TNA World Champion, made a surprise appearance in the men’s match.
- Streamer iShowSpeed entered as a replacement for Akira Tozawa after Tozawa was attacked.
Women’s Royal Rumble
Charlotte Flair’s second win
Flair entered at No. 27 and lasted 15:04, according to WWE’s official statistics. She recorded four eliminations. Her final elimination was Roxanne Perez, and WWE credits her with the first two-time women’s Royal Rumble win. The closing sequence involved Flair, Perez, Nia Jax, and Nikki Bella.

Nia Jax’s elimination total
WWE credited Nia Jax with nine eliminations in the women’s match and 29 career women’s Royal Rumble eliminations. WWE described both figures as records at the time of its event recap. Those are record claims from WWE’s own recap and should be read in that context.

Undisputed WWE Championship and tag title
Cody Rhodes retains the Undisputed WWE Championship
Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens in a physical ladder match and retrieved both titles from above the ring. WWE’s recap describes the bout as physical, a characterization that comes from WWE’s promotional narration.

#DIY defeated Motor City Machine Guns two falls to one. The match included a disputed fake-tag sequence and interference from The Street Profits, and The Street Profits attacked after the bout. That post-match attack is the angle WWE carried forward.
What the event set up for WrestleMania 41
WWE described both Rumble winners as earning world championship matches at WrestleMania 41. Uso’s path came from the Cena apron finish, and Flair’s from the closing sequence with Perez, Jax, and Bella. The CM Punk, Reigns, and Rollins moments are presented in WWE’s recap as storyline threads, not as outcomes that were settled on the night.

The Associated Press independently reported the announced viewership, merchandise, and sponsorship increases and attributed those underlying metrics to WWE.
WWE also called the event one of its most star-studded. That is WWE’s own characterization, not an objective measurement.

WWE’s February 3, 2025 corporate release stated that Peacock is the exclusive U.S. home for WWE premium live events, and that Netflix is the international home for WWE programming in most markets. The release names exceptions for select markets. Those statements describe distribution at the time of the release. They do not establish that this event remains in every service’s catalog in 2026, so check the current listing on the platform you use.
