Spoilers for the Wonder Man finale. Simon Williams gets the role he has been chasing, but his friendship with Trevor Slattery becomes the finale’s real turning point. Trevor takes the blame for Simon’s destructive outburst and is arrested; Simon later breaks him out of Department of Damage Control custody, and the two escape into the sky. The series does not explain how Simon got his powers, and there is no mid-credits or post-credits scene.
What happens to Simon and Trevor in the Wonder Man finale?
Simon’s pursuit of a leading role in director Von Kovak’s in-universe Wonder Man remake pays off: he films the movie’s climax. The finale then jumps to the film’s premiere, showing that Simon has reached the career milestone he wanted. It also points toward a possible sequel to the fictional film and shows Simon reconciling with his brother.

Trevor, meanwhile, has been working with the Department of Damage Control (DODC). His bond with Simon has grown beyond the arrangement that brought them together. When Simon’s destructive outburst threatens to derail his opportunity, Trevor records a confession in his Mandarin persona, claiming responsibility. That gives the agency grounds to arrest Trevor rather than making Simon its immediate target.
Trevor’s arrest does not end their story. Later, Simon gains access to the DODC facility by accompanying security guard Chuck Eastman. He finds Trevor and uses his powers to break him out. DODC agents discover the breach, and Simon and Trevor flee upward. In the finale’s closing sequence, Simon is flying with Trevor.

Does the finale explain Simon’s powers?
No. The series shows Simon using his powers, and the final escape makes clear that he can fly, but it does not reveal how or why he acquired those abilities. It also does not establish that his powers have a particular origin from the comics, or confirm what his next appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be.
Co-creator and head writer Andrew Guest told TechRadar that explaining the origin was not central to this story. “The more I understood Simon and figured out what the show was about, the more I felt like Simon doesn’t care about his powers,” he said. Guest added: “So, I didn’t feel the need to dive into Simon’s relationship to his superpowers and where it all started, and that was what I felt like the show’s relationship to them should be as well.”
Rank #2
Is there a post-credits scene?
No. The finale has no mid-credits or post-credits scene. It ends with Simon and Trevor escaping together.
What the ending leaves open
The finale resolves Simon’s immediate career goal and gives Trevor and Simon a clear next step: they are together and on the run after the DODC breakout. It does not settle the source of Simon’s powers or say whether the pair will appear in another MCU story. Although Guest has expressed interest in continuing the story, that is not confirmation of a renewal or a future appearance.
