Cavalli said she did not see broken bones or profound external bleeding. She recalled blood at his mouth as he tried to speak, telling ET that “his mouth was filled with blood.” Those were her observations at the scene, not a medical assessment. What did reports say about the collision?
The Los Angeles Times reported that the crash happened July 29, 2024, at Los Feliz Boulevard and Hobart Boulevard in Los Angeles. Citing an LAPD spokesperson, the Times said the e-bike struck the rear of a car that was stopped at a red light; officers reportedly arrived around 5:12 p.m. The Times also reported that neither Pax nor the other driver showed evidence of driving under the influence, that Pax was not wearing a helmet, and that he was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. The LAPD spokesperson described the car as “completely stopped.”
ET separately summarized LAPD information as saying paramedics were called to the same intersection around 5 p.m. and Pax was conscious and alert when transported. What was reported about Pax’s recovery?
In an August 5, 2024, update, the Los Angeles Times reported that Pax had left the ICU. The article said an unnamed source told People that he had suffered “complex trauma” and was expected to begin physical therapy. ET also quoted a family friend saying he had been released from intensive care and faced a long recovery and physical therapy. These were updates reported at that time; they do not establish his current medical status.
