The “hasn’t been seen” question most likely refers to her extended 2024 absence, which she later explained was connected to severe swelling and skin reactions while she sought answers about their cause.
Why was Raquel Rodriguez away from WWE in 2024?
Rodriguez described severe swelling and skin reactions that made the period physically and mentally difficult. In an April 2025 interview, she said, “I was swelling up. It was to the point where I was unrecognizable to myself.” She also said she was still trying to understand what triggered the symptoms. Pro Wrestling Dot Net’s April 2025 interview transcript reports her account.
Early 2024 coverage described the issue as mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), based on Rodriguez’s comments at the time. She later clarified that she had not received a full diagnosis and that testing for MCAS had not come back positive. “So I never really got a full diagnosis, to be honest with you,” she said in the 2025 interview. That distinction matters: the later negative test and lack of a confirmed diagnosis do not establish that she had no illness, and the available accounts do not identify a definitive cause for her symptoms. USA Insider’s February 2024 report covers the earlier MCAS reporting; Rodriguez’s later clarification appears in the April 2025 interview transcript.
When did Rodriguez return to WWE?
WWE says Rodriguez returned at Bad Blood in October 2024, helping Liv Morgan retain the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley before joining The Judgment Day. The company’s official profile records the return and her subsequent career history.
