Luke Kleintank said he left FBI: International because of his commitment to his family. His departure came near the end of Season 3, and the show wrote Scott Forrester out by having him disappear with his mother—not by showing him die.
Why did Luke Kleintank leave FBI: International?

That statement is the directly attributed reason for his exit. The cited reports do not establish a dispute with CBS, the producers, or his fellow cast members, so claims of a behind-the-scenes conflict should be treated as speculation rather than fact.
When was his last episode?
TVLine and TheWrap reported that Kleintank’s final episode was scheduled to air May 7, 2024, before the Season 3 finale. TV Insider’s episode coverage describes the Fly Team saying goodbye to Forrester in that episode.
What happened to Scott Forrester?
Forrester’s exit was written as a disappearance involving his mother. Retrospective coverage describes the pair as seemingly gone, leaving his fate unresolved rather than showing an on-screen death. TV Insider’s account covers the character’s farewell and the circumstances of his departure.
