Sunny Hostin described the items as “sweet and sour.” Entertainment Weekly reported that the brand was not announced on air and that it had asked the show for more information.

What is and is not established about the candy
The reporting does not identify the product. Sour Patch Kids and peanut M&Ms were the snacks Sweeney said she had hidden in the prosthetic, not the items Goldberg handed over, so it is not accurate to name either brand as the gift. The available accounts also do not state how many pieces were given, what flavors they were, or how they were packaged beyond being wrapped and described as sweet and sour.

Why the moment drew attention
Most of the segment was a light exchange about the practical side of wearing a prop belly on set. Goldberg’s line about carrying the candy under her chest turned a casual gag into a clip that spread on its own, because it was short, self-contained and easy to follow without context. Coverage at the time treated it as a playful moment on a talk show rather than a news event.
If you are looking for the candy itself, the reporting leaves that question open. Anyone who wants a similar treat can look for a sweet-and-sour candy assortment, but that would be a comparable product, not the one Goldberg gave Sweeney.
