Mack’s best-known stage credit is the original London production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats. She played Rumpleteazer, one of the musical’s cats, during its West End run. That role is also central to the story of how she met Selleck: the production brought her into contact with the American actor while he was working in London.
Although Mack is often introduced primarily as Selleck’s wife, describing her only that way leaves out the professional career she had before and during their marriage. Her screen work was comparatively selective, and she has never pursued the same level of public exposure as her husband.
How did Jillie Mack meet Tom Selleck?
The widely reported account is that Selleck saw Mack perform in Cats while he was in London working on the film Lassiter. The two later went to dinner, and their relationship continued after Mack’s stage engagement ended. Later entertainment profiles report that Mack moved to the United States and appeared with Selleck at public events before they married.
Those details come mainly from later entertainment reporting rather than a contemporaneous, firsthand interview with Mack. They are therefore best understood as the commonly reported history of the relationship, not as a fully documented account in Mack’s own words.

When did Tom Selleck and Jillie Mack get married?
Tom Selleck and Jillie Mack married on August 7, 1987. The ceremony was held privately at a chapel in the Lake Tahoe area of Nevada.
A contemporary 1987 United Press International report, drawing on information from a Nevada county clerk’s office spokeswoman, confirmed the date, the general Lake Tahoe location, and the couple’s marital history. It reported that the marriage was Selleck’s second and Mack’s first.
Some later celebrity stories have added details about aliases, wedding photographs, and the specific chapel. Those colorful claims are not all supported equally by the contemporaneous wire report, so the most reliable concise description is simply that they had a private Lake Tahoe-area wedding on August 7, 1987.
Do Tom Selleck and Jillie Mack have children?
They have one daughter together, Hannah Selleck, who was born in 1988. Hannah later became publicly associated with equestrian competition and horse breeding. Because the family generally keeps private matters away from sustained media coverage, detailed claims about her current personal or business activities should be treated cautiously unless confirmed by a current primary source.
Mack is also described in public biographies as the stepmother of Kevin Selleck, whom Tom Selleck adopted during his earlier marriage to Jacqueline Ray. The Sellecks have generally avoided turning their family life into a regular subject of celebrity coverage.

What movies and TV shows has Jillie Mack appeared in?
Mack’s documented screen credits include the following productions:
- Magnum, P.I.
- ER
- Frasier
- Silverfox, a television film
Her appearances in Magnum, P.I. are particularly notable because the series was Selleck’s signature television role and connected the couple professionally during its original run. Available reference listings identify Mack as appearing in the show, but episode titles and air dates should be checked against a production database or episode guide before being presented as a detailed filmography.
Her earlier and more important professional connection to the couple’s story remains Cats. Mack’s West End work predates her American television credits and was the setting in which she and Selleck reportedly met.
Is Jillie Mack still married to Tom Selleck?
Yes. Public reporting available through August 12, 2026, continues to describe Mack and Selleck as married. A 2025 profile reported that they appeared together at a dinner celebrating Selleck’s 80th birthday, alongside their daughter and friends.
That public appearance supports the fact that they remain a couple in public reporting, but it does not establish details about their private routine, residence, health, finances, or day-to-day life.

Why have Tom Selleck and Jillie Mack kept their life private?
Selleck has long been described as protective of his family’s privacy. In a 2024 CBS interview connected with his career and memoir, he discussed his professional life and family priorities; the interview should not be treated as a direct interview with Mack or as proof of particular private details about their marriage.

Their longevity is well documented, while the details of how they manage their marriage are mostly their own.
What is Jillie Mack doing now?
There is no well-supported public record in the available research that establishes a detailed current career, schedule, or daily life for Mack. Her earlier work makes “former actress” a reasonable description of her public career, but it is better not to state that she is officially retired unless she or a reliable source says so.
Similarly, unsupported celebrity-biography websites often publish estimates about Mack’s net worth, private property, health, political views, or exact residence. Those claims should not be treated as established facts. Mack’s limited public profile is itself part of the story: she has remained known to audiences largely through her stage work, selected screen appearances, and long marriage to Selleck.
