Lord Ivar on the US version of The Traitors is Ivar Mountbatten, a British aristocrat and member of the extended British royal family. He competed as a Faithful on Season 3 and was one of its four winners.
Who is Lord Ivar Mountbatten?
Ivar Mountbatten is a British aristocrat. TIME described him as King Charles III’s second cousin in a June 7, 2024 profile. The same profile reports that Mountbatten is descended from Queen Victoria, that his father, David Mountbatten, was Prince Philip’s first cousin, and that Ivar is a godparent of Lady Louise Windsor. These family connections do not mean that he is a senior working royal or holds a public royal office.
Which Traitors did he appear on?
Mountbatten competed on Season 3 of the US edition of The Traitors, the murder-mystery competition on Peacock. Contestants take on challenges to build the prize pot while trying to identify the players secretly assigned as Traitors. The Associated Press named Mountbatten in its cast announcement.
Was Lord Ivar a Faithful or a Traitor?
Mountbatten was a Faithful. Peacock’s finale recap says he made it to the Fire of Truth, the final decision point, without being identified as a Traitor.

Yes. At the Fire of Truth, Mountbatten joined Dylan Efron, Gabby Windey, and Dolores Catania. Peacock’s recap says the four chose to end the game, revealed that they were all Faithful, and won. It reports that they shared a final prize pot of $204,300.
Peacock’s recap says Mountbatten chose to end the game because he “believes there are no Traitors in our midst.” The phrase is the recap’s account of his reasoning.
