Dustin Hoffman’s wife is Lisa Hoffman. He told The Washington Post in 1992 that they married in 1980; later profiles identify Lisa as his second wife.
Who is Lisa Hoffman?
Lisa Hoffman is the wife of actor Dustin Hoffman. A 2012 Guardian interview described her as his second wife and said they had been married for 32 years, consistent with the 1980 marriage year Hoffman gave The Washington Post in 1992.
How did Dustin Hoffman meet Lisa?
In a 2008 interview with CBS, Hoffman recalled first meeting Lisa when she was a child at the home of a family friend, where he was playing piano. They met again years later, when she was an adult, and fell in love.
The CBS account also recounts a family story through Lisa’s grandmother, Blanche: as a child, Lisa reportedly said, “I hope he waits for me, ’cause when I grow up I’m gonna marry him.” This is a recollection attributed to her grandmother, rather than an independently documented event.

How many children do Dustin and Lisa Hoffman have?
Dustin and Lisa Hoffman have four children together, according to CBS’s 2008 profile. Other reporting describes Hoffman as having six children in total: The Guardian referred to six grown children in 2012, and a 2026 El País profile also reported six. The figures refer to different scopes—the couple’s children together versus Hoffman’s wider family.
What is Lisa Hoffman Beauty?
A 2012 Washington Post profile described Lisa as conducting business for Lisa Hoffman Beauty, a line of scent-diffusing jewelry. That report establishes the historical connection, not the brand’s present-day status. Current operations, product availability and an Amazon storefront have not been confirmed.
