She met him while working at a Los Angeles dermatologist’s office where he was a patient, they married in 1996, and the marriage later ended in divorce. As of the most recent reporting we found, from June 2026, Rowe lives privately on a ranch in Palmdale, California, and keeps in contact with Paris. That location comes from secondary reporting. Neither Rowe nor an official record has confirmed it, so treat it as reported rather than verified.
Who Debbie Rowe is
Rowe was a nurse who worked at a Los Angeles dermatologist’s office in the 1990s, according to Biography.com’s profile of Debbie Rowe. Jackson was a patient there, and that is where the two met. Rowe is not a public performer, which is why most of the coverage about her concerns her role in Jackson’s family rather than a career of her own.

Marriage and the children
Rowe and Jackson married in 1996. Their son Prince was born in February 1997, and their daughter Paris was born in April 1998. Both births are documented in the Biography.com profile and in the 2021 Smooth Radio explainer on Rowe’s life after Jackson.
Jackson’s third child is a separate matter and is not covered here. This article concerns only the two children Rowe gave birth to.

Custody and the 2009 guardianship order
After the divorce, Rowe gave up her custody rights and later sought to have her parental rights restored. The court record that governed the children’s arrangements is the guardianship order issued by the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, dated August 3, 2009.
That order named Katherine Jackson as guardian. It directed that a psychologist, chosen jointly by Katherine Jackson and Rowe, assess the two oldest children’s relationship with Rowe. The psychologist was also to address the timing, frequency and manner of visits between Rowe and the children. The order is a record of how the court planned to handle visitation. It does not describe how the family is arranged today.

What Paris has said about Rowe
In an August 2026 interview, Paris Jackson said she first met her mother when she was 15. As The Daily Beast reported, she recalled the meeting this way: “I remember coming downstairs and she was in the living room with my grandma.”
Her account is first-person and recent. It is the strongest evidence that the two have a relationship today, and it is the basis for the contact described in the June 2026 reporting.

Where Debbie Rowe is now
The most recent coverage we found, a June 2026 report from AOL, describes Rowe living privately on a ranch in Palmdale, California. It also says she maintains contact with Paris. Coverage on Rowe’s private life is sparse, and most of it repeats the same secondary reporting, so the details should be read with that limit in mind.
Nothing we found establishes a current relationship between Rowe and Prince. Reporting that mentions contact is about Paris.

Why some outlets call her a “surrogate”
Some biographical and entertainment outlets describe Rowe as a surrogate mother, and the phrase appears in headlines such as the one above. It is a media label. The sources reviewed establish that Rowe gave birth to Prince and Paris and that she and Jackson had an agreement to have children. They do not establish the medical circumstances or method by which the children were conceived, so the word “surrogate” should not be read as a confirmed description of a specific procedure.
The more precise description supported by the record is that Rowe is the mother of Jackson’s two older children.
