Hauser plays Mole Man, whose real name is Harvey Elder. Feige named the casting directly: “From Paul Walter Hauser as Mole Man to Natasha Lyonne as Rachel Rozman, the supporting cast is fantastic.”
The interview also notes that Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s Fantastic Four #1, which introduced the team, was published in 1961. The Walt Disney Company’s interview identifies Feige as Marvel Studios president and dates his comments July 24, 2025.
Which Fantastic Four movie is it?
Hauser appears in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, a Marvel Studios feature film directed by Matt Shakman. The film is set in a 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic world. Its central team—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach)—must defend Earth from Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his Herald, the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner).
