ABC’s official biography describes Vassos as a mother of four and grandmother of three, but does not give the children’s names. A CNN interview republished by CBS Baltimore also describes them as grown children.
How has Vassos spoken about her family?
In the CNN interview, Vassos said of her children, “They are the most important people in the world to me obviously.” She also described different reactions to her television experience: her first and third children were excited, while Erica and Luke worried about the embarrassment of seeing their mother kiss on television.

Family priorities also shaped her time on The Golden Bachelor. ABC reported that Vassos left the show after a medical concern involving her daughter, who had recently given birth, and returned home to be with her. ABC News’s account does not establish a diagnosis.
