Taylor Swift’s “Opalite” video features Domhnall Gleeson as her romantic lead, alongside guests from her October 2025 appearance on The Graham Norton Show: Graham Norton, Lewis Capaldi, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith and Cillian Murphy. The cameo lineup also includes Swift’s brother Austin Swift, Eras Tour dancer Kameron Saunders and choreographer Karen Chuang.
Who appears in the “Opalite” video?
The main celebrity group comes from the same Graham Norton Show episode where Swift and Gleeson first discussed the idea. Their appearances are woven into the video’s fictional scenes rather than presented as conventional character credits.
| Performer | Appearance in the video |
|---|---|
| Domhnall Gleeson | Plays the other lonely romantic lead opposite Swift. |
| Graham Norton | Sells the fictional “Nope-Alite” spray. |
| Lewis Capaldi | Appears as a photographer. |
| Greta Lee | Appears as a musician. |
| Jodie Turner-Smith | Appears as a workout instructor. |
| Cillian Murphy | Appears on a poster advertising the spray. |
| Austin Swift | Appears as a guest at a Christmas party. |
| Kameron Saunders | Serves as a dance competition judge. |
| Karen Chuang | Appears in a fictional Opalite spray commercial. |
The main group is the six other guests from Swift’s talk-show appearance; Austin Swift, Saunders and Chuang add appearances from her family and creative circle. The role descriptions are a scene-by-scene guide, not a formal cast list. ELLE’s cameo guide identifies the individual scenes, while Universal Music Japan’s announcement confirms the talk-show guest reunion.
What are Swift and Gleeson’s roles?
Swift and Gleeson play lonely people in a story set in the 1990s. Swift’s character is devoted to a pet rock; Gleeson’s is attached to a cactus. A fictional spray called Opalite brings the two together. Universal Music Japan describes the premise, and its name should not be mistaken for a real product.

Why did the talk-show guests appear?
Swift said the idea came to her during her October 2025 appearance on The Graham Norton Show. Gleeson joked that he wanted to be in one of her music videos, and Swift said the joke sparked the concept. She sent him a script about a week later, then invited the show’s other guests and Norton to join. Swift described the idea as having “crash landed into my imagination” while she was promoting The Life of a Showgirl. ABC News also reports the origin story.
When and where did the video premiere?
“Opalite” is a single from The Life of a Showgirl. Universal Music Japan reported that the video premiered on Apple Music and Spotify on February 6, 2026, and arrived on YouTube on February 8. Swift’s official artist-channel listing gives February 8, 2026, as the YouTube publication date.
