The $5 million figure comes from a claim in a video description published by TheRichest on May 30, 2024. The available description does not show how the total was calculated, and Bloomberg’s reporting on companies associated with Taylor Swift does not confirm that she spent that amount on private jets for the European Eras Tour.
Where the $5 million claim comes from
TheRichest published a video titled “Taylor Swift To Spend 5 Million On Private Jet For European Eras Tour” on May 30, 2024. Its description asserts that the European leg involved “$5 million expenses,” but the available material does not provide an itemized calculation, supporting documents, or enough detail to verify the total. TheRichest video and description
That supports a narrow conclusion: TheRichest made the claim. It does not establish that Swift personally paid $5 million, that the amount was spent, or that the total represents private-jet costs alone. The description also promotes other figures, including an alleged Paris landing and parking charge and revenue per show; those claims are not independently substantiated by the available sources and should not be treated as verified.
What Bloomberg’s reporting establishes—and what it does not
In an October 26, 2023 analysis, Bloomberg reported that an SEC disclosure linked Swift’s father to 10 companies affiliated with her, including entities that own her tour bus, two private jets, and real estate. That is ownership context, not a ledger of European-tour flights or expenses. Bloomberg’s article does not give a European-leg jet-spending total. Bloomberg’s 2023 analysis of Taylor Swift’s wealth

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Bloomberg said its wealth estimates accounted for income tax, tour production and travel costs, and agent and manager commissions. That broader accounting still does not explain or validate TheRichest’s specific $5 million figure.
Why other Eras Tour figures do not verify jet spending
Several numbers associated with the tour measure different things. They cannot be used interchangeably as evidence for a private-aircraft expense.

| Figure | What it measures | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| $5 million | TheRichest’s asserted European-leg expense total in a video description published May 30, 2024. | The available description does not itemize the total or show its calculation, so it does not verify a jet-spending amount. |
| $700 million-plus | Bloomberg’s October 26, 2023 estimate of Eras Tour ticket sales for shows performed to that point. | It is a dated, partial-tour ticket-sales estimate, not an aircraft-cost figure. |
| $4.3 billion | Bloomberg Economics’ estimate of the addition to U.S. gross domestic product from Swift’s 53 U.S. concerts in 2023. | It is estimated economic activity, not Swift’s earnings or private-jet spending. |
Bloomberg quoted University of Chicago labor economist Carolyn Sloane saying, “In addition to being a generational talent, Taylor Swift is a great economist.” The remark concerns Swift’s broader economic influence; it is not evidence about the $5 million claim.

The available material does not show which dates, aircraft, flights, or expense categories TheRichest included, nor does it identify the underlying data used to reach $5 million. Without a transparent breakdown or a source confirming the calculation, the figure remains unverified. Bloomberg’s 2023 reporting should not be used to infer current aircraft ownership or flight activity.
