Where to watch The Terror
AMC lists seasons 1 and 2 for binge viewing on its official series page. In a 2026 announcement, the network also named AMC+ and Shudder as streaming homes for both seasons. Those are the supported streaming options in the available official information; it does not establish availability in every country or confirm a current Netflix listing.

Streaming rights can differ by territory and date. Search your local Netflix, AMC+ and Shudder catalogs for the season you want, and verify that the service is offered in your country. A viewer discussion mentions Netflix removal and buying DVD or Blu-ray copies, but that is anecdotal—not an official catalog notice or confirmation of current physical-media stock.
What The Terror is
AMC describes The Terror as a “Supernatural, semi-historical, horror anthology series, where each season is inspired by a different infamous or mysterious real life historical tragedy.” Its seasons tell distinct stories, so viewers can approach each installment as a separate historical-horror narrative.

What each season covers
Season 1: the Northwest Passage expedition
The first season draws on the Royal Navy’s 1847 expedition in search of the Northwest Passage. AMC’s 2018 announcement describes the series’ historical foundation; the show turns the perilous voyage into supernatural horror.
Season 2: World War II and Japanese-American internment
The second season shifts to a Japanese-American community during World War II, with its story spanning Southern California, internment camps and the Pacific. The setting brings the history of wartime incarceration into the anthology’s horror framework.

- Haunted castles and bloodthirsty plants are on display when two Roger Corman classics are presented together.
Devil in Silver: the 2026 installment
AMC announced The Terror: Devil in Silver as a six-episode installment premiering on AMC+ and Shudder on May 7, 2026. It follows Pepper, a working-class moving man wrongfully committed to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital, where patients, doctors and perhaps the Devil pose threats. The announcement also names AMC+ and Shudder as streaming homes for the first two seasons.
Quick Recap
Choosing how to watch
- Want to stream seasons 1 or 2? AMC’s official materials name AMC+ and Shudder. Check the local catalog for season-level availability before signing up.
- Looking for Netflix? The available official sources do not confirm a current Netflix listing. Search Netflix in your country rather than relying on an undated claim.
- Prefer a disc? A viewer discussion mentions DVD and Blu-ray as possibilities, but it does not verify editions, sellers or current stock. Confirm those details with a retailer before purchasing.
