Twisters is no longer waiting for a home release: the 2024 storm thriller is already available outside theaters. It arrived on digital rental and purchase services on August 13, 2024, reached Peacock on November 15, 2024, and was released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 22, 2024.
The Peacock window was temporary, however. NBCUniversal listed March 14, 2025 as the end of that availability period. As of August 9, 2026, U.S. viewers can find the film on Hulu, while Prime Video availability may show up as an included title, rental, or purchase depending on the account and current licensing terms.

A digital purchase is not the same as owning a disc or an unrestricted permanent file. It gives you access through the retailer’s account and is governed by that company’s terms, including possible limits on downloads, supported devices, and future availability.
When did Twisters come to Peacock?
Twisters began streaming on Peacock on November 15, 2024. NBCUniversal described the launch as following a 120-day theatrical window after the film’s July 19, 2024 cinema release.
That Peacock release was not permanent. NBCUniversal said the film would remain available through March 14, 2025. That date has passed, so a Peacock subscription should not be purchased solely on the assumption that Twisters is still included.
Where can you stream Twisters now?
As of August 9, 2026, Hulu has an active U.S. page for Twisters and displays a “Start watching Twisters” option. The title is listed in HD and UHD. Hulu’s page shows plans starting at $11.99 per month, although subscription prices and catalog rights can change.

Prime Video’s U.S. catalog has also listed Twisters among titles included with Prime. Prime Video separately shows rental and purchase versions, so the result may differ by account, location, or date. The safest check is to search for the film in Prime Video and read the label on the title page before subscribing or starting a transaction.

Physical release: 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD
The physical editions arrived on October 22, 2024. Universal released Twisters on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Universal’s editions include digital versions, and selected releases contain more than an hour of bonus material.
Physical media is the most straightforward choice for viewers who want a copy that is not dependent on a subscription catalog. The included digital version, when supplied with a particular edition, may still require redemption through the participating retailer and is subject to that service’s terms.
Why the release dates are easy to confuse
August 13 was the first digital release
Some listings point to October 8, 2024. That date referred to Universal’s announced digital ownership release with bonus content, not the first time the film could be rented or purchased online. The initial digital rental and purchase date was August 13.

Peacock was a past window, not a permanent home
The film did stream on Peacock, but the March 14, 2025 end date matters. Search results and older entertainment articles may still describe Peacock as the destination without mentioning that the announced window has expired.
It is not a Max exclusive
Twisters was released theatrically by Universal, and its U.S. subscription-streaming premiere was on Peacock. Claims that it was headed to Max because of another production connection confuse the film’s distribution history.
What is the film?
The relevant title is the 2024 Universal production starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell. It has a listed runtime of 2 hours, 2 minutes. It is separate from any similarly named production, including The Twisters.
