Red One is available to watch at home in the U.S. through Amazon Prime Video. The 2024 Christmas action comedy stars Dwayne Johnson as North Pole security chief Callum Drift and Chris Evans as bounty hunter Jack O’Malley, who are forced to work together after Santa Claus is kidnapped.
Where to stream Red One
Open the Prime Video app or visit the Prime Video website and search for Red One. Choose the 2024 film featuring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans. The current U.S. listing marks it PG-13 and gives the standard version a runtime of 1 hour 53 minutes.

The movie began streaming on Prime Video on December 12, 2024. Despite some pages describing it as a new streaming release, it is not a 2026 premiere.
Is Red One included with Prime?
Yes. In the U.S., Red One is included with an eligible Amazon Prime membership, including the ad-supported Prime Video option. It is not currently listed as a free, standalone ad-supported movie that viewers can watch without a Prime subscription.

Prices can change and may differ according to country, account, promotion and licensing window. If you already have Prime, search for the title while signed in before paying to check whether the “Watch now” option appears.
Can you watch it without Amazon Prime?
Yes, depending on the store and your location. Current U.S. listings show Red One available to rent or buy through Apple TV Store, Amazon Video and Fandango At Home. The Prime Video page also displays separate UHD rental and purchase buttons.
These options are useful if you only want to watch the film once and do not need the wider Prime catalogue. Compare the total rental or purchase price with the cost of a Prime subscription, particularly if you are eligible for a trial or already use other Prime benefits.

What is the difference between Prime and Prime Video Ultra?
The standard Prime Video access included with Prime includes HD and HDR formats, but Amazon’s current U.S. policy reserves 4K/UHD for Prime Video Ultra. Standard Prime viewing also includes limited advertisements under Amazon’s current setup.

How to find the correct movie
- Open Prime Video on a smart TV, phone, tablet, game console or web browser.
- Select Search.
- Enter Red One.
- Choose the 2024 listing starring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans.
- Check the available button: Watch now, Rent UHD, Buy UHD or Join Prime.
Do not rely on the button alone when you are signed out. Prime Video can show “Rent UHD,” “Buy UHD” or “Join Prime” on the same title page even when the film is included for a viewer with an eligible Prime subscription. Sign in and verify the account-specific offer before completing a transaction.

Which version and runtime should you expect?
The current Prime Video listing gives the standard version a runtime of 1 hour 53 minutes. An older About Amazon article lists a different runtime of 2 hours 2 minutes, so viewers may encounter conflicting figures in search results.
Prime Video separately lists ASL and BSL versions at 2 hours 4 minutes, with 11 minutes of additional content. If your listing shows a longer duration, check whether you selected one of those versions rather than the standard cut.

What is Red One about?
Callum Drift is the North Pole’s security chief, played by Johnson. When Santa Claus is abducted, Drift recruits Jack O’Malley, a bounty hunter played by Evans, to help locate him. The result combines a Christmas rescue story with action-comedy elements, rather than presenting a traditional quiet holiday film.
The PG-13 rating and action-focused premise make the title more suitable for older children, teenagers and adults than for very young viewers. Check the rating and your household’s tolerance for comic violence before starting it.

Is Red One free on Prime Video?
