Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars premiered on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, with a live two-hour episode on ABC and Disney+. Episodes were available on Hulu the following day. Because that premiere has already aired, the season is now a past event, and ABC’s current series page lists Season 35 as the active season as of October 8, 2026.
Season 34 premiere date and broadcast times
The premiere aired live across ABC and Disney+ in local time zones. The schedule was published in Disney Entertainment Television’s September 10, 2025 press release, which is the most precise source for the timing.
| Detail | Season 34 premiere (2025) |
|---|---|
| Date | Tuesday, September 16, 2025 |
| Eastern and Pacific time | 8:00–10:00 p.m. EDT/PDT |
| Central time | 7:00–9:00 p.m. CDT |
| Live platforms | ABC and Disney+ (simulcast in local time zones) |
| Next-day streaming | Hulu, the day after the broadcast |
ABC first announced the date on September 3, 2025, and the September 10 release reconfirmed it. Viewers outside the Eastern, Pacific, and Central zones should convert the local times from the Eastern listing, since the release gave only those three zone pairs.
What the premiere included
Cast and format
The premiere introduced 14 celebrities performing live for the first time that season. ABC described the season as the show’s milestone 20th anniversary. The 14 figure is the announced cast count for the premiere, not a ratings or audience measure.
