America’s Got Talent Season 20 premiered on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Peacock announced that episodes would be available to stream the following day. Because that premiere took place in 2025, this is a record of a past schedule, not an upcoming listing.
Season 20 premiere details
The table below collects the core schedule facts for the season premiere, along with the source that supports each one.
| Item | Detail | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| Premiere day | Tuesday, May 27, 2025 | Peacock article “Meet the Judges of America’s Got Talent Season 20,” May 13, 2025 |
| Premiere time | 8 p.m. ET/PT, as listed by Peacock | Same Peacock article |
| Broadcast network | NBC | Same Peacock article |
| Next-day streaming | Episodes announced as available to stream the next day on Peacock | Same Peacock article; current catalog access not verified |
| Host | Terry Crews | NBCUniversal announcement for Season 20 |
| Judges | Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara, and Mel B (returning to the panel) | NBCUniversal announcement for Season 20 |
How to read the time listing
Peacock’s May 13, 2025 article gave the premiere as “8p ET/PT,” which is how the schedule was published for the season. The listing is written for the Eastern and Pacific zones together, so it does not tell viewers in other parts of the United States exactly which clock time their local NBC station used. Readers outside the Eastern and Pacific zones should check their local NBC station’s listing for the May 27, 2025 episode rather than converting the time themselves.
Where the season was available to watch
Season 20 had two announced viewing routes:
- Broadcast on NBC. The premiere aired on NBC at the time above. Local stations can vary in how they carry network programming, so the station guide is the reliable check for a given area.
- Streaming on Peacock the next day. Peacock’s announcement stated: “America’s Got Talent Season 20 is set to premiere on Tuesday, May 27 at 8p ET/PT on NBC, with episodes available for streaming the next day on Peacock.” This describes the release pattern announced for 2025. It does not guarantee that the same episodes are available in every region or on every plan today.
Judges and host
NBCUniversal announced Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Sofía Vergara as judges for Season 20, with Mel B returning to the panel. Terry Crews hosted. Peacock also published a judges article ahead of the premiere, which is the same source cited for the schedule above.

What the official sources do not establish
- The official scheduling sources for the premiere do not report a viewership or ratings figure, so no audience number is given here.
- Current territorial streaming access and subscription terms were not verified for this article. Treat the 2025 next-day streaming announcement as a description of that season’s release pattern, not a present-day availability promise.
- Details of later seasons are outside the scope of this page. Check NBC’s show listings for the current season’s schedule.
For the premiere itself, the answer is settled: Tuesday, May 27, 2025, 8 p.m. ET/PT, on NBC.
