The song in Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* teaser trailer, released in September 2024, is “Where Is My Mind?” by The Pixies. The answer depends on which trailer you mean, because the film’s later trailers used different music, and one of them is linked to a different song in a less authoritative source.
The teaser trailer: “Where Is My Mind?” by The Pixies
The teaser’s track is “Where Is My Mind?” by The Pixies. The Escapist’s Leon Miller identifies it directly in an article last updated September 24, 2024: “The song in the Thunderbolts* teaser trailer is ‘Where Is My Mind?’ by The Pixies.” That article is the primary identification used here, and it is the one to cite for the teaser. The Escapist’s article on the song in the Thunderbolts* trailer also places the song on The Pixies’ 1988 debut album, Surfer Rosa.
The teaser version is a rearrangement
The teaser does not simply play the album recording unchanged. According to the same Escapist piece, the trailer version has an “epic movie” makeover and was rearranged to fit the teaser’s content and pacing. If you are matching the audio against the original 1988 recording, expect differences in arrangement and build, not just a different mix.
What the sources do not establish
No official Marvel statement explains why the song was chosen. The Escapist article discusses the song’s themes and quotes Kevin Feige on the team’s characterization, but that quote is about the characters, not the music. Any reading of why “Where Is My Mind?” suits the teaser is interpretation, not a confirmed studio rationale.

Why the later trailers complicate the answer
Marvel released more than one trailer for Thunderbolts*, and the music differed between them. A YouTube upload by The Wizard, dated February 17, 2025, is titled “Thunderbolts Trailer Song ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now’ Full Epic Trailer Version Music.” It associates a later trailer with Starship’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now.” This is a third-party upload, not a studio credit, so treat it as a lead rather than a confirmed identification of that trailer’s audio. The Wizard’s upload on YouTube is the source for that attribution.
The film-song listing at FilmMusic.com also includes “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now,” written by Diane Warren and Albert Hammond and performed by Starship, among the film’s song credits. That listing shows the track is credited to the film, but it does not state that the track plays in any specific trailer. FilmMusic.com’s Thunderbolts* page is the reference for those credits.

Do not confuse the trailer song with the score album
The film’s score is a separate release. FilmMusic.com lists Son Lux as composer and gives April 30, 2025 as the digital soundtrack release date. Apple Music lists a Son Lux track titled “Thunderbolts*” on the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, also dated April 30, 2025. Apple Music’s Son Lux track listing is a score-album reference only. Neither listing identifies the trailer song, so the Son Lux score is not the answer to the trailer question.

- Confirm which trailer you are watching: check the title, upload date, and whether it is the teaser or a later trailer.
- For the teaser, the Escapist identification is the most direct published source for the song and its rearranged version.
- For later trailers, read a channel’s description and credits with caution. A title that names a song is a claim to verify, not proof of what plays.
- Keep film-song credits, score albums, and trailer music separate when you compare sources.
In short: for the September 2024 teaser, the song is “Where Is My Mind?” by The Pixies, in a rearranged trailer version. Any claim that a later trailer uses “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” rests on a third-party upload and should be labeled as such.
