HBO’s official announcement gives the finale date but does not state an exact start time, so the series premiere’s 9:00 p.m. ET/PT time should not be treated as the finale’s confirmed time.
When was the Welcome to Derry season-one finale?
Warner Bros. Discovery’s U.S. pressroom announced the finale for Sunday, December 14, 2025. The announcement said the eight-episode first season would continue airing Sundays on HBO and HBO Max, leading up to that finale: HBO Max’s October 26, 2025 schedule announcement.

That date is in the past as of October 4, 2026, so “this weekend” no longer applies to the first-season finale.
What time did it begin?
The cited official finale announcement does not provide a clock time. HBO separately announced that the series premiere would debut October 26, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO, with availability on HBO Max. That is the premiere time, not confirmation of when the finale began: HBO’s September 23, 2025 announcement.

HBO announced a second season on August 17, 2026, but that renewal announcement does not give a premiere date. It therefore does not establish that a new episode is due this weekend: Max Pressroom Spain’s renewal announcement.
