What is known about the Humphries ring
Contemporary reporting described the Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring as a 20.5-carat piece reportedly valued at $2 million. Forbes identified its center diamond as a 16.21-carat rectangular-cut stone, I color and VS1 clarity, with two approximately 1.80-carat trapeze-cut side diamonds. Christie’s sold the ring in New York in October 2013. Forbes reported a total of $749,000 including buyer’s premium, while the bid before fees was $620,000; JCK reported the lot’s estimate as $300,000–$500,000.
