The Elizabeth Holmes documentary is You Can See Everything, directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. Rotten Tomatoes listed it at 100% on the Tomatometer from 22 critic reviews on October 12, 2026—but the page had zero verified audience ratings. That is an early critics’ snapshot, not a settled consensus or an audience score.

What is the Elizabeth Holmes documentary called?

You Can See Everything follows Holmes after she invites a skeptical film crew to document her shortly before she is due to report to prison. The project then develops into a three-year filmmaking journey, according to Rotten Tomatoes. The Associated Press reports that the filmmakers shot secretly over three years and that the documentary focuses on the 34 days before Holmes reported to prison (AP).

Fielder and Oppenheim directed the film. Rotten Tomatoes also lists them as producers, alongside Tatiana Bears. A surprise screening took place at Telluride on September 6, 2026, followed by a screening at the New York Film Festival, the AP reports.

What does its perfect Rotten Tomatoes score mean?

On October 12, 2026, Rotten Tomatoes showed a 100% Tomatometer based on 22 critic reviews and zero verified Popcornmeter ratings. The Tomatometer indicates the share of counted reviews classified as positive; it does not mean every critic assigned the same numerical grade. With no verified audience ratings on the page at that time, there was no Rotten Tomatoes audience score to compare.

The score may change as more reviews are counted. It describes the early critical response visible on the page when checked, not a permanent rating or a broad audience verdict.

Why are some critics calling it a masterpiece?

The early response combines admiration for the film’s experimentation with debate over what kind of documentary it is. Rotten Tomatoes’ first-reviews roundup includes praise for its entertainment value and its examination of accuracy and documentary form. It also includes objections: some reviewers find it too meta to qualify as a documentary, or question whether its nearly three-hour runtime is justified (Rotten Tomatoes’ review roundup).

The Independent reported a 97 Metacritic score at the time of its coverage and quoted The Guardian calling the film a “modern masterpiece of deceit.” That is the newspaper’s quoted critical judgment, not a consensus label. The Independent also quotes Variety describing it as “just about the further thing from a ‘pure’ documentary” and “a one-of-a-kind reality-TV-as-hangout-movie psychodrama circus” (The Independent).

The Daily Beast’s review focuses on authenticity: whether Holmes appears genuine and how difficult it can be to judge that impression. That is the reviewer’s interpretation of the film, rather than an established factual conclusion about Holmes (The Daily Beast).

What did the directors say about making it?

The film’s premise puts the crew’s own experience of documenting Holmes in view. After a screening, Fielder told the AP, “I am still struggling to this day to understand what I went through.” Oppenheim told the AP, “Every person who worked on this movie was going through a similar cognitive dissonance.”

When and where can you watch it?

Rotten Tomatoes listed a limited US theatrical release for October 16, 2026. The Independent reported a UK release date of November 20, 2026. These are territory-specific theatrical dates; the available listings do not establish a streaming date or wider release schedule.

How long is it, and what is its rating?

Rotten Tomatoes lists the runtime as 2 hours 54 minutes and the rating as R for language and some graphic nudity. Those details may help viewers decide whether the film’s approach and length suit them.

The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley is a separate 2019 Theranos documentary directed by Alex Gibney. Apple TV lists it at 1 hour 59 minutes and a 78% Tomatometer score as checked October 12, 2026 (Apple TV).

The two films therefore offer different documentary approaches and cover different circumstances. The earlier film’s score and runtime are listing details, not a like-for-like measure of quality.
