Odd Atelier (OA) is the company Jennie announced on December 24, 2023, for her solo activities. She said she would begin her solo journey with OA in 2024. At the time, reports described BLACKPINK’s group activities as a separate arrangement with YG Entertainment.
What is Odd Atelier?
Odd Atelier, abbreviated OA, is a company Jennie said she had established for her individual activities. In her December 24, 2023 announcement, she wrote: “I’m also excited about what’s to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA.” Soompi reproduced her announcement, and South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency likewise reported that OA was established for her solo work.

Jennie’s announcement made clear that she intended to start working through OA in 2024; it did not, by itself, establish details such as a wider artist roster or the company’s later operations.
When was OA founded?
OSEN reported that OA was founded in November 2023. OA’s LinkedIn company profile also lists November 2023 as its founding date. The public announcement followed on December 24, 2023.

What does Odd Atelier do?
OA’s company description presents its creative aim as making new things that draw attention in an unexpected way. That is the label’s own description of its intent, not an independent measure of its results.
Contemporaneous coverage presented OA as Jennie’s individual-activity label, rather than reporting a broad roster of artists. Yonhap said no other artist had signed with the label at that time.

Was BLACKPINK still with YG Entertainment?
In coverage around Jennie’s announcement, solo and group activities were treated separately: OA was associated with Jennie’s individual work, while BLACKPINK group activities remained under the group’s arrangement with YG Entertainment. Soompi described that division, and Yonhap reported the group activity contracts. CNA also framed OA as an agency for Jennie’s solo endeavors.
This describes the arrangement reported in December 2023. It should not be read as confirmation of Jennie’s or BLACKPINK’s current contracts or management arrangements.
