Facebook Watch was Facebook’s destination for episodic shows and video, but it is no longer a separate Watch service. Meta folded video discovery into the broader Facebook video experience, renamed the Video tab Reels in June 2025, and says newly posted videos are shared as Reels. Facebook still has creator and publisher videos, including long-form and Live content, but Meta does not publish a definitive current catalog of named shows. To check a particular series or episode, look at the creator’s or publisher’s Page and the video itself; availability can depend on the post, region, rights and access settings.
What Facebook Watch was
Meta introduced Watch in 2017 as a place on Facebook to discover shows. It described a show as live or recorded episodes organized around a theme or storyline. People could follow shows through a Watchlist, and the experience emphasized discussion with friends and communities through comments and related Groups. It featured creators and publishers alongside programming funded by Facebook. Meta’s 2017 Watch announcement gives examples from that launch period.
Those examples included Nas Daily, Gabby Bernstein’s live and recorded episodes, Tastemade’s Kitchen Little, MLB games and Returning the Favor, hosted by Mike Rowe. They describe Watch at launch, not a present-day lineup.
What happened to Facebook Watch?
In July 2023, Meta described the Facebook Video tab as Watch’s successor: “The Video tab, previously known as Facebook Watch, is now the one-stop shop for everything video on Facebook, including Reels, long-form and Live content.” The tab brought different video formats into a personalized discovery experience. Meta’s announcement explains that change.

On June 17, 2025, Meta renamed the Video tab Reels. Meta said newly posted Facebook videos would be shared as Reels, with no length or format restrictions, and that videos shared previously would remain on profiles or Pages. This changed the product’s organization and labeling; it did not mean that older videos were automatically removed. Meta’s 2025 announcement describes the updated experience.
Meta’s engineering account also describes the technical consolidation of the Watch and Reels systems into a unified video experience, with recommendations spanning Reels, long-form video-on-demand and Live video. That helps explain why Watch is best understood as a former destination within Facebook rather than a separate service to open today. Meta Engineering’s account covers the consolidation.

Where to find Facebook videos now
To browse videos, look for Reels in Facebook’s left menu. Meta’s Help Center also points to Feed and search as places to discover videos. The precise location and available navigation can vary by device and account. Facebook Help: Find and watch reels and videos.
- Browse broadly: Use Reels, Feed or search to discover videos.
- Find a particular creator or series: Visit the relevant creator’s or publisher’s Page and check its video posts.
- Check a specific episode: Open the post itself and confirm that it is viewable to you. A former Watch listing or an old announcement alone does not establish that the episode remains available.
Which shows are available now?
Meta’s current product and Help Center materials do not provide a definitive catalog of named shows currently available on Facebook. Facebook has creator and publisher videos, including long-form and Live content, but a specific show’s current status must be checked at its source. A series may be affected by whether its Page or post remains available, its audience settings, regional access or the status of its rights.

For historical context, Meta’s August 2018 global-launch announcement listed Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith, Huda Kattan’s Huda Boss and live Major League Baseball games among Watch content at that time. These are examples of what Watch carried in 2018—not confirmation that those shows, episodes or games are available now. Meta’s 2018 announcement.

Older articles and posts may use “Facebook Watch” to mean the former show destination, the videos associated with it or Facebook video more generally. Treat the name as historical context: for current browsing, look under Reels, Feed, search or the relevant Page. Meta’s August 2018 announcement also reported that more than 50 million people in the United States watched Facebook Watch videos for at least one minute each month, and that total time spent watching had increased 14 times since the start of 2018. Those are dated figures from 2018, not current audience statistics.
