After appearing on season 3 of TLC’s My 600-Lb. Life in 2015, Amber Rachdi reportedly lost more than 400 pounds following gastric bypass surgery and major lifestyle changes. She did not return for a televised Where Are They Now? update, saying she did not want her life defined by pounds lost. Later reports described her work in IT and a March 2026 brachioplasty, but do not establish her exact current weight or overall health status.
Amber Rachdi’s weight-loss journey on and after the show
Rachdi appeared on season 3 of TLC’s My 600-Lb. Life. Starcasm reported her peak weight as 657 pounds in 2019, while later coverage rounded her starting weight to about 660 pounds. Those are reported figures, not a current weigh-in.
After gastric bypass surgery and lifestyle changes, reports described her loss as more than 400 pounds. A December 2025 Parade report put the total at 470 pounds. The figures come from different reports and dates, so they should not be treated as a single verified measurement of her weight today. Parade’s 2025 account also reported a social-media update about loose skin, in which Rachdi joked, “For now, I live, laugh, and jiggle.”
Why she did not film a follow-up episode
Rachdi did not appear in a Where Are They Now? episode. In a February 2019 statement reported by Us Weekly, she wrote, “I don’t want the rest of my life to be solely measured in pounds lost.” Us Weekly’s retrospective reported that explanation; TLC describes Where Are They Now? as a series that catches up with Dr. Now’s patients, but the official page consulted does not provide a Rachdi-specific follow-up. In a 2019 interview account, Rachdi criticized aspects of filming. Starcasm reproduced her description of the experience as “very disorganized and jarring” and her characterization of producers as people who “acted like bullies.” She also said producers threatened to delay or cancel surgery when she set boundaries. What later reports say about her life
Later coverage has attributed updates to Rachdi’s social-media posts. The List reported that she disclosed working in IT in 2024, described her separation from Rowdy as mutual and connected to different desires about building a family, and shared that she underwent brachioplasty in Los Angeles in March 2026. These are secondary reports of her posts, rather than a comprehensive public account of her current circumstances. The List’s report

As of October 8, 2026, the available reporting does not establish Rachdi’s exact current weight, present health status, or a new official television episode about her. The most specific recent procedure update located is the report of her March 2026 brachioplasty.
