WWE Speed stopped releasing episodes on X after July 9, 2025, but WWE had not publicly announced a cancellation or explained why the series went quiet. The Speed championships continued in NXT, so the end of the X show was not the end of the titles.
What happened to WWE Speed on X?
WWE Speed was a short-form wrestling series made for X, formerly Twitter. WWE launched it in April 2024 as an X-exclusive, with new episodes scheduled for Wednesdays. WWE described the schedule as “WWE Speed, streaming Wednesdays at noon ET/9 a.m. PT only on X.” Its inaugural tournament used three-minute match limits. WWE’s April 2, 2024 launch announcement
The last episode identified in contemporary coverage aired July 9, 2025. It featured Women’s Speed Champion Sol Ruca retaining her title against Alba Fyre. By July 30, Cageside Seats reported that no new episode had appeared since then and that neither WWE nor X had addressed the show’s status. Cageside Seats, July 30, 2025
Did WWE officially cancel the show?
As of the contemporary reports in late July and early August 2025, WWE had not announced that Speed was canceled, and no official explanation for the missing episodes had been reported. The most accurate description is that the X series stopped releasing episodes after July 9, 2025; whether WWE formally canceled it was not publicly established in those reports. What happened to the Speed championships?
The belts continued after the X episodes ceased. In August 2025, WWE said the Speed titles were coming to NXT, and its August 28 preview described them as officially in NXT, with a tournament to determine Sol Ruca’s challenger. One first-round match paired former Speed champion Candice LeRae with TNA’s Xia Brookside. The move carried the championship concept into NXT; it did not mean the original weekly X series had resumed. WWE’s NXT video · WWE’s August 28, 2025 NXT preview
