Some published Xfinity lineups also list it on channel 1254. Because Xfinity channel numbers and availability vary by service address, package, and local territory, use Xfinity’s address-specific channel lookup to confirm your listing.
Since October 1, 2025, Marquee has been moved from Xfinity’s Popular TV package to Ultimate TV, which some current customers may see branded as TV Premium.

Channel 202 is the best starting point for Chicago-area Xfinity customers, but it is not a nationwide channel number. A published Chicago-area lineup lists Marquee Sports HD on both 202 and 1254; those numbers should be treated as local lineup references rather than universal Xfinity assignments.
Marquee is a regional sports network for Cubs programming, so Xfinity does not carry it on every system or in every market. Your address, package, and eligibility within the Cubs’ designated television territory determine whether the channel appears.

Which Xfinity package includes Marquee?
Marquee Sports Network moved from Popular TV to Ultimate TV effective October 1, 2025, according to Marquee’s package-transition announcement. Xfinity customers may now see the equivalent package labeled TV Premium, while some legacy accounts may still use names such as Ultimate TV or Digital Preferred.
Package labels can differ by market, account age, and plan type. Do not assume that every account with an older package name includes Marquee. Likewise, there is no single upgrade price that applies to all Xfinity customers: the cost depends on your address, current plan, promotion, contract, equipment, and account status. Check your account’s offer at Xfinity’s TV upgrade page.
If Marquee disappeared after you previously watched it, the October 1, 2025 package migration is a likely explanation—not necessarily a problem with your cable box.

How to find Marquee on an Xfinity box
- Open the Xfinity guide and search for Marquee Sports Network or simply Marquee.
- Check the HD entry, beginning with channel 202 if you are in the Chicago area.
- Look in the Sports section of the guide for the live channel or a scheduled Cubs game.
- If you have an X1 Voice Remote, say “Marquee Sports Network” or “Cubs.” X1 customers have also been able to use the Sports Zone to locate programming, although menus and voice-search behavior can change by device and account.
An X1 TV box may be required for viewing Marquee through the affected Xfinity service. Equipment requirements can depend on the specific Xfinity product, so confirm them with Xfinity if your account has a different setup.
How to verify your exact Xfinity channel lineup
- Open Xfinity’s channel-lineup guidance or the Local Channel Lineup page.
- Enter your service address and ZIP code, or sign in to your Xfinity account.
- Search the personalized lineup for “Marquee” or “Marquee Sports Network.”
- Check both standard-definition and HD entries.
- Review the package shown on your account and confirm that it includes the channel.
This personalized lookup is more reliable than a general internet channel list because Xfinity assigns channels locally.
What to do if channel 202 is missing
- Search the guide: Your local listing may use another number, including 1254 in some published lineups.
- Check your package: Confirm that your account has Ultimate TV, TV Premium, or an eligible legacy equivalent rather than Popular TV.
- Confirm your location: Marquee’s in-market area includes parts of Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and Wisconsin, but exact eligibility follows MLB territory rules and your ZIP code.
- Restart the X1 box: This can help with a temporary guide or equipment issue, but it will not replace a missing package entitlement.
- Refresh your account access: If the channel appears in your personalized lineup but viewing is blocked, ask Xfinity support to verify or refresh the channel entitlement.
- Check the device: An Xfinity Flex or streaming-only setup may not provide the same linear channel lineup as X1 TV service. App access can also differ from cable-channel access.
If the channel is listed but still unavailable, possible causes include an unsynchronized entitlement, a legacy or promotional tier that excludes Marquee, a local service issue, or an address outside the network’s territory. Xfinity support can determine which applies.

Is Marquee available everywhere?
No. Marquee is designed primarily for viewers in the Cubs’ designated regional television territory. Being able to see a Marquee listing is not, by itself, proof that every live Cubs game is available at your location.
For an in-market viewer, Marquee may be available through an eligible Xfinity package or the network’s direct subscription. For an out-of-market viewer, live Cubs games generally fall under MLB distribution and blackout rules; Marquee directs those viewers toward MLB.TV or MLB Extra Innings. MLB.TV should not be treated as a guaranteed workaround for a viewer inside the Cubs’ local blackout territory.

Marquee Sports Network direct subscription
Eligible in-market viewers can check Marquee’s official subscription service. The network’s Xfinity-transition announcement listed the direct option at $19.99 per month; verify the current checkout price before subscribing. This can make sense if you want Marquee but do not want to upgrade to a broader Xfinity television package. It does not remove territory or MLB blackout restrictions.

Hulu + Live TV and Prime Video
Marquee announced distribution through Hulu + Live TV and Prime Video ahead of the 2026 season. Confirm regional eligibility, channel inclusion, and current pricing on the provider’s signup page rather than assuming that availability is nationwide or included with an existing subscription.
MLB.TV
MLB.TV is the more relevant option for Cubs fans outside the designated Cubs territory, subject to MLB’s blackout and distribution rules. It is not a direct substitute for in-market Marquee access.

Marquee Sports Network carries Cubs programming. It is separate from the Chicago Sports Network, which carries programming associated with the Bulls, Blackhawks, and White Sox. Searching for the wrong network name can make it appear that Marquee is missing from the guide.

Try Xfinity channel 202 HD if you are in the Chicago area. If it is not there, check for a possible 1254 listing, then use Xfinity’s personalized lineup tool. Also verify that your account has Ultimate TV, TV Premium, or an eligible legacy package, and that your address is within Marquee’s Cubs territory.
