Facebook displays the profiles blocked from the Facebook profile currently in use. On a computer, go to Profile picture → Settings & privacy → Settings → Blocking → Edit → See your blocked list.
Facebook can move labels and controls between app versions, devices, and languages, but Blocking under Audience and visibility is the destination to look for.
See your blocked list in the Facebook app
- Open the Facebook app and tap Menu.
- Tap Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- Scroll to Audience and visibility.
- Tap Blocking.
Your blocked profiles should appear on this screen. Facebook’s official mobile instructions cover Android, iPhone, iPad, Facebook Lite, and mobile browsers, although the wording and placement may differ slightly by version. See Facebook’s mobile blocking instructions.
If your version shows Settings directly after Menu, open it and then look for Audience and visibility → Blocking. You may also be able to search Facebook’s Settings for “Blocking.”

See blocked people on Facebook from a computer
- Sign in to Facebook.
- Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings & privacy, then click Settings.
- Under Audience and visibility, select Blocking.
- In the Block users section, click Edit.
- Choose See your blocked list.
The Edit → See your blocked list step is easy to miss: on desktop, Facebook may first show the general blocking setting rather than the full list. The official computer instructions are available on Facebook Help.
What you can do from the list
The list is primarily a management screen. Depending on the device and account interface, you can usually:
- Review profiles currently blocked by the Facebook profile you are using.
- Tap or click Unblock beside a profile.
- Add another profile to the blocked list.
Seeing a name in the list does not guarantee that you can open and browse the person’s profile. The account may have been deleted, deactivated, renamed, or may also have blocked you. Treat the list as a record of blocked profiles, not as a profile-viewing tool.

How to unblock someone
From the blocked-list screen, tap Unblock beside the person on mobile, or click Unblock beside the person on desktop. Confirm when Facebook asks.
Unblocking does not automatically restore a previous friendship. If you were Facebook friends before the block, you may need to send a new friend request. A Page that you previously followed will not automatically be followed again after you unblock it. Facebook also says that you may be unable to block the same profile or Page again for a short period, without making a universal exact cooldown available in its help guidance. What happens when you unblock someone?
- The person is no longer blocked by the Facebook profile that removed the block.
- Depending on privacy settings, some public posts or other interactions may become visible again.
- A previous friendship is not restored automatically.
- A Page-follow relationship is not restored automatically.
- Facebook does not provide a notification saying that someone has been blocked or unblocked.
That last point is not the same as saying the change is impossible to notice. The person may infer that something changed if they can later search for, view, message, or interact with your account, subject to your privacy settings and other restrictions.

If someone is missing from the blocked list
Try these checks in order:
- Check the account: make sure you are signed in to the Facebook account that created the block.
- Check additional Facebook profiles: blocking is managed separately for additional profiles. Switch to the relevant profile and check its Blocking settings.
- Check Messenger: you may have blocked messages or calls rather than blocked the person’s Facebook profile.
- Check whether a Page made the block: a Page’s blocked list is separate from your personal account’s list.
- Consider account changes: the person may have deleted or deactivated the account, changed their name, or changed other profile details.
- Check for a different restriction: you may have unfollowed, restricted, or used Take a break instead of blocking.
- Try another access method: update or restart the app, use Facebook in a mobile browser, or check from a computer.
Do not use third-party apps, browser extensions, or “blocked-list viewer” services. Your blocked list is an account setting; an outside service cannot legitimately reveal it without access to your Facebook account.

Facebook describes the Restricted list in more detail in its official help documentation. Feature-specific controls, including those used in areas such as Dating or Marketplace, may also be separate from the main personal-profile blocked list.
For Facebook Page administrators
If you blocked someone from a Facebook Page, switch into that Page before checking the list. Then open the Page’s settings, choose Blocking, select Edit, and choose See your blocked list, where available in the current Page interface.

A Page block applies to that Page. It does not automatically mean the person is blocked from your personal Facebook profile. See Facebook’s Page blocking guidance.

Facebook says a blocked profile generally cannot see posts from the profile that blocked it, tag that profile, invite it to events or groups, start a conversation with it, or add it as a friend. Blocking one profile also does not necessarily block every other Facebook profile belonging to the same person.
Blocking may not prevent every possible interaction in shared apps, games, or groups. The exact result can also depend on whether the interaction involves another profile, a Page, or a separate Facebook feature. Facebook explains these limits in its blocking help page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Facebook notify someone when I unblock them?
Facebook does not send a notification announcing that you unblocked someone. However, the person might infer it later if they can access or interact with your account again, depending on your privacy settings.
Does unblocking make us friends again?
No. Unblocking does not restore the friendship. You must send or accept a new friend request.
Can I block someone again immediately?
Not always. Facebook says you may be unable to block the profile or Page again for a short period after unblocking it.
Is Messenger blocking the same as Facebook blocking?
No. Messenger message or call blocking can be separate from blocking the person’s Facebook profile, so it may not appear in the main Facebook blocked list.
Can I see someone’s profile while they are blocked?
Not necessarily. The blocked-list page is for managing blocks, and normal profile access may remain unavailable.
Can I see blocks from all my Facebook profiles in one list?
No. Additional Facebook profiles manage blocking separately. Switch to each relevant profile to check its list.
