Yes—but only in a technical, time-limited sense. On August 20, 2025, Paramount’s official YouTube channel streamed Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning as Morse code: viewers got a spy-radio-style image and beeps representing the film’s script, not footage of the movie. The promotion has ended, so it is not a way to watch the full film free on YouTube now.
What Paramount actually streamed
Paramount’s franchise account teased the event as “Full movie on YouTube now,” and the link led to an official Paramount Movies livestream. But the format was the catch: the broadcast showed an image resembling a communications device while dots, dashes, and beeps conveyed the script in Morse code. It did not show Tom Cruise’s performance, the film’s action, locations, editing, or visual effects. Contemporary coverage described the event as a transmission of the script rather than a conventional movie stream (Gizmodo; GamesRadar).
Paramount wrapped the stunt in the film’s fiction, suggesting that the Entity had infiltrated streaming platforms and forced the studio to transmit the script in code. That was promotional storytelling, not a real technical or rights problem (Yahoo Entertainment).

Someone who knew Morse code or used decoding tools might have been able to interpret the transmission. That still would not make it a practical substitute for watching the film. Paramount lists the movie’s runtime as 169 minutes; the code-based broadcast offered neither its finished audiovisual presentation nor an ordinary way to follow the story (Paramount Pictures).

The livestream was a past promotion, not a current free stream
The event took place on August 20, 2025, alongside the film’s digital release. It was temporary, and follow-up coverage reported that the livestream was not available to replay afterward (ComicBook.com). Paramount+ began streaming the film in the United States and Canada on December 4, 2025, according to Paramount’s announcement.
As of August 16, 2026, current U.S. listings show subscription and paid rental or purchase options, but no free streaming option. Availability can change and differs by country, so check the service in your region before subscribing or paying (JustWatch’s U.S. listing).

How to avoid a misleading “free full movie” result
Search results can mix old reports about the Morse-code event with current rental listings and unofficial uploads. A YouTube Movies result may be a paid rental or purchase, not free viewing. Be wary of videos using Paramount branding that lead to suspicious external sites, downloads, or requests for payment outside a recognized retailer. Use Paramount’s official pages or established storefronts, and check the access type before pressing play.
