No—not every Verizon customer is losing a free Disney+ bundle. If your current Verizon plan includes the Disney Bundle, Verizon’s stated position is that the benefit remains available while you stay on that qualifying plan. The confusion comes from Verizon now offering a different, ad-supported Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ perk to eligible customers.
The practical warning is more important than the headline: do not change your Verizon plan or cancel a grandfathered Disney perk until you know exactly which benefit you have. Switching plans can remove an included bundle, and canceling some older paid perks can make them impossible to add again.
There are three different Verizon Disney arrangements
“The free Disney bundle” is not one universal Verizon offer. Your result depends on whether Disney access is included in your plan, retained as an older paid perk, or newly added as the current ad-supported option.

| Arrangement | What it means | Main risk |
|---|---|---|
| Legacy plan inclusion | Disney Bundle access is included with certain older Verizon plans at no separate charge while you remain on the qualifying plan. | Changing plans can remove the inclusion and may turn the subscription into a paid Disney subscription unless you enroll in a replacement perk. |
| Grandfathered premium perk | Some existing customers retain Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ through an older Verizon perk. Verizon lists this perk at $15 per month and says it is no longer open to new enrollment. | If you cancel it, Verizon says you cannot add that same premium perk back. |
| Current ad-supported perk | Eligible customers can add Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ with ads for $10 per month. | It is a replacement option, not proof that a legacy plan inclusion will continue after a plan change. |
Which Verizon plans have been associated with the included bundle?
Verizon’s support and plan terms identify older plans such as 5G Play More, Play More Unlimited 5G UW, 5G Get More, and Get More Unlimited 5G UW as plans that may include the Disney Bundle.
The exact entitlement depends on the plan version, account, and applicable offer terms. The safest interpretation is not that every customer with a similar-sounding plan automatically qualifies, but that customers who already see the Disney Bundle as an inclusion should retain it while they remain on the qualifying plan.
Verizon’s customer-community guidance specifically says the existing Disney Bundle became grandfathered and that customers on plans that already included it—citing 5G Get More and 5G Play More—keep the inclusion at no additional charge. That does not mean the benefit follows you to every newer Verizon plan.
Why Verizon customers are seeing a different Disney offer
Verizon’s newer standard option is an ad-supported bundle containing Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. Verizon describes it as having a $19.99 monthly retail value while charging eligible customers $10 per month.
Verizon lists eligible mobile plans including Verizon Simplicity, Unlimited Ultimate, Unlimited Ultimate 1.0, Unlimited Plus, and Unlimited Welcome. Qualifying Verizon 5G Home, LTE Home, and Fios plans may also be eligible, subject to the account and plan rules shown by Verizon.

What to do before changing your Verizon plan
- Open My Verizon. Record the exact name of your wireless or home plan.
- Open the Disney-related perk or subscription details. Note whether it is described as included with your plan, a premium Disney perk, or the $10 ad-supported Disney bundle.
- Compare the replacement cost. A newer plan may look attractive, but losing an included Disney benefit can change the real monthly price.
- Check the replacement enrollment step. If you change plans, enroll in the replacement Disney perk during the transition if you want to avoid an unexpected paid subscription.
- Save your account and billing details. Keep a screenshot or confirmation of the plan, perk, and activation status before making the change.
For customers on 5G Play More, Play More Unlimited 5G UW, 5G Get More, or Get More Unlimited 5G UW, the conservative choice is to stay put until the replacement cost and features are clear. Verizon’s support language says the premium bundle included with Get More Unlimited or Play More Unlimited is no longer included after switching to an eligible newer plan unless the customer enrolls in the replacement Disney perk.
What happens if you switch plans?
Changing from a legacy plan can remove the no-extra-charge inclusion. Verizon’s FAQ states that a customer who receives the bundle through Get More or Play More loses that inclusion after changing plans and can be converted to a paid Disney subscription unless the replacement perk is selected.

In other words, a Disney subscription that previously appeared free because it was part of the plan may begin appearing as a separate charge.
If you move from a grandfathered premium perk to the ad-supported perk, Verizon says the older subscription continues only through the current billing period. The new perk then begins billing under its own terms. Check the effective date rather than assuming the two benefits overlap indefinitely.

What happens to a Disney subscription billed directly by Disney?
Verizon says that an existing Disney Bundle or Disney+ subscription billed through Disney may be automatically paused when you enroll in the new Verizon perk—provided you use the same email address. If you later cancel the Verizon perk, the prior subscription may resume.
This process is different for subscriptions billed through a third party. Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, or another intermediary may continue charging you because Verizon cannot automatically pause or replace that billing relationship. Before activating a Verizon perk, identify who currently bills each service and follow the required cancellation or account-linking steps.

- Use the same Disney account email address when Verizon instructs you to link the services.
- Check Disney, Hulu, and ESPN account pages for the active billing provider.
- Review Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, or Roku subscriptions separately.
- Do not assume that activating a Verizon benefit automatically cancels a third-party subscription.
- Keep confirmation emails until the first billing cycle after the change is complete.
What if you cancel Verizon service?
Canceling Verizon service cancels the Verizon-sponsored Disney Bundle or promotional subscription under the applicable cancellation rules. Verizon’s terms state that access ends when the Verizon offer ends, and that partial-month refunds or credits generally are not provided after cancellation.
There can be a limited exception for an annual or multi-year Disney+ subscription that was paused and is able to resume after the Verizon offer ends. That situation depends on the original Disney subscription and its terms; it should not be treated as a general promise that every canceled Verizon account keeps Disney access.
Can you upgrade the ad-supported bundle?
Yes, Verizon’s FAQ says customers taking the ad-supported perk may upgrade Disney+ and Hulu tiers for an additional $10 per month, bringing the Verizon charge to $20 per month. That upgrade is separate from the old no-extra-charge inclusion on a legacy plan.
Before upgrading, check which services and tiers are included in your particular offer. A higher tier may remove ads from some content or add other features, but it does not preserve a legacy Verizon plan benefit if you have already changed plans.

If your TV cannot run the apps
The Verizon benefit concerns subscription eligibility, not the device you use to watch. If your television lacks Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN apps, an optional Roku Streaming Stick 4K is one compatible route for accessing supported streaming services. Hardware does not preserve a Verizon perk, prevent a plan-related charge, or change your subscription eligibility.
Check the current compatibility information for your television, streaming device, and the individual apps before buying. A streaming player is useful only if the issue is device access; it will not solve an account-linking or billing problem.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. The answer in plain English
Verizon is not broadly taking away every customer’s free Disney+ bundle. Customers whose qualifying legacy plans include the Disney Bundle can generally keep that inclusion while they remain on the plan. The newer $10 ad-supported bundle is a different offer for eligible plans and customers.
The benefit can disappear if you change plans, cancel a grandfathered premium perk, or cancel Verizon service. Before making any change, identify the exact plan and Disney entitlement in My Verizon, enroll in a replacement perk if needed, and check for third-party billing that Verizon cannot automatically stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Verizon customers losing the free Disney+ bundle?
No. Customers on qualifying legacy plans that include the Disney Bundle can generally keep it while they remain on those plans. The newer ad-supported Verizon bundle is a separate offer, not an automatic cancellation of every older inclusion.
Which Verizon plans include Disney+?
Older plans associated with the included bundle include 5G Play More, Play More Unlimited 5G UW, 5G Get More, and Get More Unlimited 5G UW. Verify the exact entitlement in My Verizon because eligibility depends on the plan version and account terms.

What happens if I change my Verizon plan?
It can. Verizon says switching from certain Get More or Play More plans removes the included bundle. Unless you enroll in a replacement perk, the subscription may become paid at the current price.

Will Verizon automatically cancel my existing Disney subscription?
Verizon says an existing subscription billed directly through Disney may be paused when you activate the Verizon perk using the same email address. Subscriptions billed through Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, or another intermediary may continue billing until you manage them separately.
What happens to Disney+ if I cancel Verizon?
Yes. Canceling Verizon service cancels the Verizon-sponsored Disney Bundle or promotional subscription under the applicable terms. Partial-month refunds or credits generally are not provided.
The Bottom Line
Keep your qualifying legacy Verizon plan if preserving the included Disney Bundle matters. Do not cancel a grandfathered premium perk casually, and do not switch plans until you have confirmed the replacement price, ads, tier, activation timing, and billing provider.
