Donald Trump’s Truth Social account posted a video on September 27, 2025, that falsely presented a “MedBed” rollout as a Fox News announcement. The clip promised MedBed hospitals and a national access card; Fox News said the segment never aired, and the supposed cure-all technology has no credible evidence of existence. Trump later deleted the post, with no public explanation of why he shared it.
What Trump’s video claimed
The clip was styled as a Fox News segment, with Lara Trump introducing an announcement of “MedBed hospitals” and a national “MedBed card.” It claimed the cards would provide access to hospitals offering extraordinary healing. Those statements appeared in the video; they were not an authentic White House or Fox News announcement.
Factchequeado reported that it found no trace of the claimed rollout in official presidential or administration accounts, news coverage, or the Department of Health website when it checked in 2025. Factchequeado’s October 3, 2025 fact-check describes the claims and the purported card offers.
Did the video really air on Fox News?
No. Fox News told The Verge that the segment “never aired on Fox News Channel or any other Fox News Media platforms.” That is the clearest evidence about the clip’s broadcast status: it impersonated a Fox segment rather than documenting an actual broadcast.

The video also showed visual irregularities. Deutsche Welle’s visual review noted mismatched mouth movements, fused fingers, and inconsistencies in the Oval Office background; The Verge described it as apparently AI-generated. Factchequeado reported that an analysis with Hive Moderation returned a 99.9% probability of AI generation for this particular clip. That is a detector’s result reported by the fact-check, not an independently validated measurement or a general measure of AI-detector accuracy.
What are MedBeds, and are they real?
“MedBeds” are a feature of conspiracy narratives describing futuristic devices that can supposedly cure any illness, restore youth, or regenerate organs or limbs. The claims are not supported by credible scientific evidence. McGill University’s Office for Science and Society explains that the devices do not exist as advertised and that the miraculous properties attributed to them have no scientific basis. In a McGill article published August 7, 2025, science communicator Jonathan Jarry wrote: “No one has an actual photo of them because, let’s be clear, they don’t exist.”

This does not mean hospitals lack legitimate medical beds or equipment. Ordinary clinical equipment is not evidence for a fictional cure-all machine or for the promised MedBed treatments.
What did the White House say, and why was the post deleted?
At an October 1, 2025 briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said: “I think the president saw the video and posted it and then took it down. And he has the right to do that. It’s his social media. He’s incredibly transparent, as you all know.” Democracy Now! and the Associated Press reported the remarks.

Leavitt described the sequence—Trump saw, posted, and removed the video—but did not give a reason for the initial post or its deletion. The sources reporting the episode do not establish Trump’s motive.
Why purported MedBed cards are a scam risk
Factchequeado reported that copies of the video circulated with links offering purported MedBed cards for prices ranging from $447 to more than $900. These were reported prices for alleged scam offers, not legitimate healthcare-access fees. Factchequeado said no hospitals offered MedBeds and characterized the offers as scams. McGill’s Jarry has also described registration-fee schemes that promise access to nonexistent facilities.

Do not pay for a MedBed card, registration, or a promised appointment. The sources reviewed establish no legitimate MedBed product or card program. A seller asking for money in exchange for future access to supposed cure-all treatment is not evidence that the treatment or facility exists.

- Did the named outlet actually publish or air it? In this case, Fox News said the segment never aired on its platforms.
- Is the medical claim supported independently? The described MedBed cures have no credible scientific evidence.
- Is someone asking for payment for promised future access? The reported card offers were described as scams, and no legitimate program was established.
