Travis Kelce was spotted wearing multiple friendship bracelets on each wrist while watching Taylor Swift perform at her first Sydney Eras Tour show on February 23, 2024. The bracelets fit the fan tradition visible around him, but coverage did not establish who gave him those particular bracelets or why he wore them.
What Kelce wore at the Sydney concert
Kelce watched Swift’s performance from the VIP tent at Accor Stadium. Us Weekly reported that he wore multiple friendship bracelets on each wrist, alongside a blue patterned outfit. The report did not identify the bracelets’ maker, giver, wording or materials.
ABC News identified the February 23 performance as Swift’s first Sydney show. Its event coverage noted that weather delayed the performance and that colourful friendship bracelets were common among concertgoers. ABC News’ report on the concert places Kelce’s appearance within that wider scene.
Why friendship bracelets were part of the Eras Tour scene
Fans wore and traded colourful bracelets at Eras Tour performances, a custom associated with the lyric in Swift’s song “You’re on Your Own, Kid,” as Us Weekly’s coverage explains. ABC News also observed fans wearing them at the Sydney concert. That context helps explain why the bracelets were a recognizable fan-culture detail, but it does not establish Kelce’s personal reason for wearing his.

How Kelce’s earlier bracelet story fits—and what it does not prove
There is an earlier, separate connection between Kelce and the bracelet tradition. The Associated Press reported that Kelce had said he tried, unsuccessfully, to give Swift a friendship bracelet bearing his phone number at an Eras Tour show at Arrowhead Stadium. That anecdote is background, not evidence that the bracelets he wore in Sydney were the same one or came from any particular person. The Associated Press account describes the earlier attempt.
