A missing text does not automatically mean Ticketmaster rejected you. First identify which code you expected and whether Ticketmaster actually selected you. A registration confirmation is not access; a waitlist notice may mean there is no code to troubleshoot yet. If you were selected and the event’s stated delivery window has passed, check both SMS and email, confirm the registered account, and contact the correct support team.
The Taylor Swift guidance cited below describes Ticketmaster’s 2023–2024 Eras Tour process. It is historical, not proof that a Taylor Swift presale is active on August 18, 2026. Verify the event, country, onsale time and seller through Taylor Swift’s official channels and the specific regional Ticketmaster event page.

Ticketmaster lists these presale categories and says fan-club codes come from the fan club, not Ticketmaster (presale and offer-code guidance; fan-club code guidance).
Registration is not selection
In the Taylor Swift Verified Fan process described by Ticketmaster, the first email confirmed only that registration was received. A later message said whether the fan received access or was waitlisted. Selected fans then received a unique code and purchase link. Only fans with access confirmation could enter the specified queues (Ticketmaster’s Taylor Swift FAQ).

If you were waitlisted
A waitlist message generally means there is no current access code to recover. Ticketmaster may select additional fans if inventory becomes available, but moving off the waitlist is not guaranteed and still does not guarantee tickets. Keep monitoring the account email and official event information rather than buying a code from someone else.
If you received no selection message
Silence can mean the notification has not been sent, the message went to another email address or phone number, the registration was incomplete, or you were not selected. Do not call it an SMS failure until you have confirmed an access notice.
How long should delivery take?
There is no universal delivery time. Follow the event’s own instructions and sale schedule. For the 2023–2024 Eras Tour sales, Ticketmaster said selected fans would receive the code and link by text on the day before the sale, with email used as a fallback if SMS delivery failed. An older Ticketmaster Taylor Swift presale FAQ described messages arriving roughly two to four hours before the sale; that historical timing is not a current guarantee (2023–2024 Taylor Swift FAQ; older Taylor Swift presale FAQ).
If the announced window has not passed, wait. Once it has passed, troubleshoot both delivery channels and then contact Ticketmaster Fan Support.

Immediate checks for a selected fan
Confirm the selection and event
- Search every relevant mailbox folder for “Ticketmaster,” “Taylor Swift,” the event name, “Verified Fan,” “access,” “presale” and “waitlist.”
- Check the exact email address used during registration.
- Distinguish “access granted” from “registration received” and “waitlist.”
- Confirm the local onsale time and whether the sale has actually opened.
Check SMS delivery
- Verify the mobile number saved on the Ticketmaster account.
- Review blocked numbers, junk-message folders and carrier spam filtering.
- Temporarily disable Do Not Disturb or Focus.
- Confirm that ordinary SMS messages arrive.
- Restart the phone.
- If traveling, check roaming and network coverage.
- Use a resend control only when the event or verification screen provides one.
Ticketmaster gives similar advice for missing verification texts, including checking the number, disabling Do Not Disturb, restarting and checking roaming (phone and email verification help).
Check email fallback
- Search Inbox, Spam, Junk, Promotions and Trash.
- Search for
Ticketmaster, the event name and@email.ticketmaster.com. - Use the mailbox tied to the registered Ticketmaster account.
- Add Ticketmaster’s transactional sender to approved contacts if supported.
Never trust an email merely because it uses Taylor Swift’s name; inspect the destination before signing in.

Use the matching Ticketmaster account and link
For the historical Taylor Swift Verified Fan flow, the access link had to be used with the same Ticketmaster account used during registration. Sign in before opening the event-specific link, do not switch to a friend’s account, and do not assume forwarding the code will work for another account. Ticketmaster said the Waiting Room opened 30 minutes before the designated sale window and warned that refreshing could lose a fan’s place (Taylor Swift Verified Fan FAQ).
If the link arrives but appears broken
- Check whether the event’s onsale has started. A link sent early may not work until the scheduled opening.
- Sign in to the account used for registration.
- Use the regional Ticketmaster site specified by the official announcement; U.S., Canadian and other regional sales can differ.
- Open the original event link, not a copy from Reddit, X, TikTok or a direct message.
- Check ticket limits and whether the sale is paused or inventory has been exhausted.
Ticketmaster’s Taylor Swift FAQ specifically notes that a link can be delivered before the sale begins and requires the registered email account (FAQ).

If the code is rejected
- Enter it exactly as supplied, preserving capitalization and numbers without added spaces.
- Confirm it belongs to the correct event and presale type.
- Use the account that registered for the sale.
- Check whether the code or account has already reached its ticket limit.
- Do not substitute a code posted on social media or a resale site.
Codes may be case-sensitive, and a valid code provides an opportunity to shop rather than a guaranteed ticket. Inventory can disappear before checkout (Ticketmaster code guidance; how presales work).
Contact the right organization
Contact Ticketmaster Fan Support when
- You were selected but received neither SMS nor email after the stated window.
- Your account has an incorrect phone number or email and the event permits correction.
- A verification code repeatedly expires or fails.
- The live event link fails with the correct account.
- Your account is blocked, restricted or stuck in a security check.
Contact the artist or fan club when
The presale is a fan-club sale or its activation email is missing. Ticketmaster says it does not issue those codes; the fan club owns that process (fan-club code help).
Do not confuse a verification code with a presale code
A Ticketmaster account-verification SMS is a separate one-time code. Ticketmaster says delivery can take several minutes; requesting a new code creates a newer code, so use the latest message. Check the number, resend from the verification screen, restart the phone, disable Do Not Disturb and check roaming when traveling. Google Voice, VoIP, payphone and pager numbers are not supported for the cited verification flow (verification guidance).
Security-check and Persona prompts
Some users are asked for a selfie or government-issued ID during sign-in or artist-presale registration. Ticketmaster’s Persona guidance recommends matching billing and account information and avoiding a VPN, which can increase the likelihood of an additional security check. Completing the check does not create a presale selection or guarantee tickets (Ticketmaster security-check guidance).
