ABC lists “Til Death” as Season 7, Episode 5, with a TV-14 rating and a runtime of 42:32. ABC’s page displays the date as 02.05.25; TV Insider’s interview about the episode is dated February 4, 2025. The different date formats and publication timing mean the ABC listing is best treated as its displayed date rather than silently converted into a release-date claim.
ABC summarizes the installment this way: “The team searches for a serial killer; Nyla struggles with the aftermath following the attack; Lucy’s relationship with Seth takes a turn; Bailey battles her fear of Jason Wyler.” That official description captures the episode’s mix of investigation, recovery, romance, and the season-six danger surrounding Bailey. ABC’s episode listing is the source for the title, synopsis, rating, and runtime.
How Nyla’s recovery leads to Liam Glasser
Nyla returns to work after the attack that temporarily paralyzed her in the preceding episode. Her determination to find the person responsible brings her attention to Liam Glasser, whose vending-machine company supplies the hospital under investigation. Actor Mekia Cox told TV Insider that Nyla suspects Liam, but knows a suspicion is not enough to arrest him.

That gap between belief and admissible evidence gives the story its central tension: Nyla wants Liam behind bars, but the investigation has to be built correctly. Cox described the conflict plainly: “She’s smart, so she knows she can’t, but there’s a part of her that just wants revenge.” Rather than presenting her anger as a substitute for police work, the storyline makes it a force she has to control while pursuing a case that can hold up.
Nyla’s undercover instincts
Cox also told TheWrap that Nyla draws on her undercover background when she engages with Liam, initially using charm to disarm him as their dynamic turns more antagonistic. Cox connects that intensity to the adrenaline and focus of Nyla’s former undercover work, while noting that Nyla must also think about staying safe for her daughters. As Cox put it, “She becomes hyper-focused on the thing that she intends to get and and won’t let anything derail her from that.”

The episode closes with Nyla warning Liam that law enforcement is watching him. It is a pointed escalation, but not the same thing as an arrest or a resolved case: the pressure on Liam rises while the need to gather evidence remains.
Bailey and Jason: a cliffhanger thread reaches a resolution
ABC identifies Bailey’s fear of Jason Wyler as one of the episode’s principal storylines. In the broader season structure, “Til Death” serves as the payoff to the danger left hanging from Season 6, giving this thread a more immediate resolution than the Liam investigation. The episode’s role as a turning point—closing one extended crisis while opening or advancing other arcs—has also been noted in secondary coverage, including CBR’s episode framing surfaced through IMDb News.

Lucy and Seth: a relationship takes a turn
Lucy’s relationship with Seth also changes direction in the episode, according to ABC’s synopsis. The official description does not specify the nature of that turn, so it is safest to treat this as an advancing relationship thread rather than assume a particular outcome. Its presence alongside the serial-killer case and Bailey’s crisis underscores how the episode balances a season-driving threat with the characters’ personal lives.
