Tom Hiddleston has described Season 2 as the beginning of a 12-episode story. The “91%” Rotten Tomatoes figure belongs to Season 1 on the pages checked; Season 2 is listed at 86%.
Is The Night Manager coming back for Season 3?
Yes. In an announcement dated 28 August 2024, the BBC and Prime Video confirmed two new series of The Night Manager. The announcement said filming had begun at that time, named Tom Hiddleston as returning lead Jonathan Pine, and identified David Farr as the writer of Season 2. Read the announcement from the John le Carré official site.
The confirmation covers two additional series, not just one. It does not, however, set out a release date for Season 3.
What is the Season 3 update—and when could it premiere?
In an interview reported by The Independent on 2 February 2026, Hiddleston said: “We always constructed this one [series two] as the beginning of a 12-episode story.” That is a significant indication of the story’s intended scope, but it is not a premiere-date announcement or a detailed production schedule. Does Season 2 really have a 91% Rotten Tomatoes score?
No—not on the Rotten Tomatoes pages checked. Season 2 is listed at 86%, while Season 1 is listed at 91%. The headline’s 91% figure therefore appears to assign Season 1’s score to Season 2. Check Rotten Tomatoes’ Season 2 page and Season 1 page.
